No way should Berbatov be up there.
Ralph Milne to us. Bebe to us.
Ralph Milne to us. Bebe to us.
------
I always felt its unfair to judge Bebe given the lack of time he has had to play. But buying a player from watching Youtube videos was really bad.
I'd agree with most of those, but Berbatov, he was top scorer and a quality player while he was with us. Granted, he didn't really score many "big" goals, but if he was 5 or 10m cheaper, I think people would view him a lot differently.
Arshavin saved our season when we signed him, well worth 16 mil, as we wouldn't of got Champs league footy without him
Can't think of a worse one than Torres.

I think his price tag (not his fault) put added pressure on him.
But he rarely scored in big games and was awful in Europe.
He scored big clumps of goals against lesser teams and he never looked at home with us.
I would say £15 million would have justified what he offered to us.
Bentley 15mill
D.Bent 16.5mill twice (Tottenham and Sunderland) and then 22mill (Aston Villa)
Wasnt Kaka something like £48 million to Real from AC?

...............
He has been at the club 2 and a half years. We have see a few flashes of what may be to come, but not enough to suggest he is premier league standard.
I may well be wrong, but I think we can write that one off as a gamble that did not come off.
Jo - £19 million
Gervinho - unsure on the fee but a bad signing no matter what.
Bentley
Alfonso Alves
Veron contributed well to a title winning season, as did Bebatov!
The price tag should not be the overiding factor, whatabout someone like Keiron Dyer who's gone from club to club to club and always been injured?!
Arshavin was good for a season but then tailed of massively
Ronaldo 80 Million United - Real. Sorry but no Human Being should be worth that amount of money
Ronaldo to Madrid for £80m...We should have got more for him I know he wanted to go, but £80m seems almost criminal

Its a shame because he showed some promise during pre season.
I have no idea what he cost either, some say it was upto £12 million im guessing it was more like £7 million.
The biggest goof was the club who sold him picked him up for free or a nominal fee 2 weeks earlier.
sorry who bought Jo for £19 million???
Ronaldo has scored more goals than he has played games for Real!
I would say £80 million was cheap considering most would pay £100 million for Messi if he was available and if Barca were willing to sell.
Sagna was £7.5m and have given us years of superb service.
