Super getting angry at the weakest in society is not the correct way of forcing change. Get angry at the kants at the top who screw you over everyday of your life.

Me you duke pb we're the hard working plebs who get fvcked over for the minority at the top to reap the benefits.

Labour have not carried out this nauseating campaign against the poor.

As for public sector pensions - surely the ambition must be to raise private sector pensions to the level of the public sector, rather than the race to the bottom which the Tories seem to be keen on.

Didnt say it was the tories super but its a bit late in the day to start banging on about the falklands.

Btw super this isnt about Labour V Tories, they're both a bunch of self serving kants.

Partick - Labour created the beast where benefits rose at a rate higher than inflation!

As for the pensions the government has to subsidise the public sector pensions now you want them to subsidise the private sector pensions as well!

FFS its no wonder people cant budget money when you say stuff like this! Subsidise, subsidise and subsidise again! Where will the cash come from?

And the next cant that suggests starting a building bonanza of feckin infrastructure to subsidise the subsidies is gettin wan

This is what I love about the Scottish football board. You wouldn't find this sort of article on any other board on this site.

We might as well play the euromillions at least we might get some kind of return rather than punishing the poor so the rich can get richer.

I suggest we just don't pay our debt, then we'll have nothing to worry about.

let the UK go newco

It might mean we didnae win the war and had no Empire

But as Super Keith says we would have no debt

This would mean we could subsidise the infrastructure and then get some debt.....

A brief synopsis of my view:

Get rid of welfare being needed for those who work. instead of a minimum wage we should have a living wage. People who work should be rewarded for doing so and shouldn't have to rely on handouts.

Start properly taxing those at the top of the food chain instead of the pandering to them that has now happened under successive governments. Use that money to put back into the system to create a fairer system for all.

Have a welfare system that looks after those who genuinely need it, the disabled who through no fault of their own find themselves thrown in amongst the scroungers should be well looked after.

Have a decent benefits system that looks after you as a stop gap if you lose your job, not forever more.

Make those who refuse to work however small the % work and if they don't they don't get benefits.

Stop the runaway salries in the city of London etc, do you need a salary of 5m per annum, in all honesty that is just poor greed and nobody will persuade me that the guy who gets a salary like that is doing a more important job than a nurse in an Intensive Care Unit.

Tax premiership footballers at a higher rate as again you don't need to earn 250k per week.

A mansion tax, if your house is worth more than 2m you can pay the extra.

A fairer distribution of wealth with a graduated tax system that still rewards hard work and endeavour but does just enough to stop personal greed. A system that rewards work and looks after the genuine in society.

Unfortunately no party of any hue will give me that and that is why I am disillusioned with politics.

The trouble with the salary cap and increasing tax at the top end is the jobs would move elsewhere! When the attacks started on the banking culture there was a fear that London would lose out on many jobs as companies would relocate elsewhere! Similarly if we tax footballers at 50% on wages over 250k then they will ask for 500k to compensate or they will goto whoever will pay them im whatever country! Also players would just do a Beckham and get their "wages" through media rights etc etc to avoid the tax levy!!!!

----------

That would increase unemployment as big companies look to keep their profits high and small companies struggle to pay out.

Start properly taxing those at the top of the food chain instead of the pandering to them that has now happened under successive governments.
--------

Closing loopholes is the first thing that any government should do.

Have a welfare system that looks after those who genuinely need it, the disabled who through no fault of their own find themselves thrown in amongst the scroungers should be well looked after.

Different people have different opinions of who needs what.

Have a decent benefits system that looks after you as a stop gap if you lose your job, not forever more.
----

What's the cut off point in terms of length of time?

Make those who refuse to work however small the % work and if they don't they don't get benefits.
-------

Sounds a lot like that shambles of a policy the Conservatives came up with about free labour.

Stop the runaway salries in the city of London etc, do you need a salary of 5m per annum
--------

Are you talking about bankers and the like? Can you really put a ceiling on what private companies can pay?

Tax premiership footballers at a higher rate as again you don't need to earn 250k per week.
-----

I'd say the current percentages are fine if you like to see high quality players playing in this nation.

A mansion tax, if your house is worth more than 2m you can pay the extra.
---

Not sure on that, haven't looked in to it properly.

A fairer distribution of wealth with a graduated tax system that still rewards hard work and endeavour but does just enough to stop personal greed
======

Sounds very utopian but do you, or anyone else for that matter, know that perfect system?

Relocate all scroungers to the some of the farther flung british islands and let em survive on meagre rations airdropped in on a monthly basis. Mibbe fling in some dangerous wild animals, weapons and video cameras and we've got next gen reality tv

No more cowell

No more scroungers

Everycant's happy

Well,relocated islanders aside..
