White has had more Mustafi moments than Gabs. English bias on show here.
Expect it of J99 but not good arab lad Tu

Really? White has issues when defending in wider areas but he hasn't had many dope moments in the centre.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure I agree. Gabs maybe feels like he has had more because he's the one who goes to win the ball, White is the sweeper. So will always look like Gabs making more mistakes whereas in reality its a much harder role.

I like them both but Gabriel is faster, stronger, more decisive in the air, better in the tackle, but White is slightly more composed on the ball.

If this Saliba really is that good I suspect he'll displace BW

White is a talented, modern CB but whenever I watch Arsenal he really strikes me as somebody who lacks leadership and communication.

Nah. There is a reason why Gabriel was linked with Juve.

Wenger was also always trying to find the perfect left footed CB. Cygan? Vermalean?

Though his best pairing was Kolo/Sol both right footed.

Maybe but tbf to him he's 24, first season in basically a new back 4, wasn't expecting him to be the new John Terry immediatly.

And that reason isn't because they and Barca want him for being good?

You have to be 'available' before other clubs start considering you as an option. The days when you could bully a club into sale are well gone. Even the poorest club in the premier league can hold onto their players these days.

posted on 6/6/22

Is there any proof of that or is it just your opinion?

No, I haven't done a study on it. Just look at the number or lack thereof of transfers these days without any 'contract' issue or a truly monstrous offer that selling club is more than happy to sell the player.

posted on 6/6/22

Its even more rare for European clubs to bully premier league clubs cause they cannot afford wages that the premier league players earn.

Grealish and Lukaku both went for 100m last summer when the club's wanted to keep them

Think the trend is going away from that because players are savvy though we will still see clubs "breaking the bank" on occasion

posted on 6/6/22

Aston Villa were happy to sell Grealish for £100m.

Aston Villa were not bullied into it.

In fact West Ham will be happy to take £100m+ for Declan Rice if there is mug out there.

You first said "truly monstrous offer that selling club is more than happy to sell the player" which 100m for Grealish clearly is

Nah, I try not to get on the bandwagon but Rice is so bloody good.

No chance of it happening but if we got Rice + Jesus (must be a pun there) for 150m I'd say we'd be looking at a title challenge

Villa wanted to keep Grealish but the offer was too good

Same with Lukaku

So I'm not agreeing with you no

Did you understand my point with Chris?

I said I believe that Gabriel is being linked to Juve because Arsenal are willing to listen to offers. The days of when a club like Juve can bully Arsenal into a sale that they did NOT want are long gone.
