play midfield in a two. not replace odegaard. if you remember going back to the discussion of us going for Merino instead of Fabian Ruiz. Who can actally do both.

My point is simple. If Saka was fit I don't think Merino starts today because he clearly doesn't look match fit.

When every one is fit I think Merino starts on the left no.8 as the one who presses and Odegaard is the right no.8 who moves to no.10 alongside Havertz. Rice goes back to no.6. There is no need for Partey.

Partey had a good game tonight.

Partey was super tonight. Still nothing from the club about offering him a new a contract though.

We should not offer Partey a new deal, even if he has a great season.

Definitely not £200k/week.

I think Angel Gomes for free (or small fee in Jan) would be a good get for backup to Rice.

Also, madness by Arteta to take Sterling of. He was our only outlet and did look dangerous when he was on.

Personally wouldn't have taken anyone off. By the commentators comments the team was struggling to get back into shape, so I guess maybe Arteta had to act but I think the personnel we had starting could have easily gone to a strong formation after the red.

Still not won 3+ consecutive league games yet. Took us a while to do that last season as well. That will need to change soon if we are going to compete for the title.

It was just a negative move to take Sterling.

We were not up against City or prime Barca for us to go so defensive

Fair but I think Trossard struggles centrally

Really need Timber and Saka back for the Liverpool game. If they are both fit to start and we don't pick up any more injuries then I fancy us to win.
