Let's be honest, Hummels is not really top class. Dortmund would be wise to sell him, if Barca are willing to pay the reported 30m euro fee.

well said GT

Yeah i think you're right Serial. I would say Hummels is a bit better than Mert, but that's it. Certainly not in the same league as Thiago Silva, whom they tried to purchase this summer.

posted on 16/10/13

The Bild reports says basically that Dortmund promise to let Hummels go for 35M. EUR next summer allthough he has a contract until 2017.

Gündogan didnt sign a new contract. Could be off as well next summer.

Lewand is leaving for free.

Very slim chances that Dortmund will sell Reus.

Dortmund made a profit from over 50M EUR in the last business year. Finalcially they are on a good and stable way.

Nowhere near his level, Serial. It is a curious move though. Does suggest either Puyol or Piques time is up. Barca certainly could do with a defensive shakeup.

GT, does Reus have a release clause?

Serial was that you who had dunc's article pulled?

posted on 16/10/13

Didn't realise it was pulled.

Nope, not me. My guess is that Dunc took exception to my comment about him and complained to the Admins, like he said he would. They then pulled all of it.

Hummels regressed massively. The winner of yesterday's game against Sweden is surely Per Mertesacker.

I get the impression that the German public/media don't particularly rate Mert, GT? They would prefer Hummels?

Quantity, not quality. Gundoghan would easily get in ahead of Flamini.

You can't say no to top class.

Exactly Serial. Hummels is a fan and media darling.

Bild Zeitung made a survey who should be playing for Germany as our CB pairing. The fans chose Hummels/Boateng.

Exactly. If we could Gündogan we should go for him. Also Rosicky/Arteta couldnt play forever.

Diaby will be back in 4 weeks.

posted on 16/10/13

No he won't!

He'll be running again in 4 weeks. Out for another 5 months in 6 weeks.

posted on 16/10/13

Joke aside. Some players are really unlucky with injuries. Diaby is one of them unfortunately.

Huntelaar was 2 months sidelined as well and in his first training he wgot injured again. He will miss further few weeks. I think he is done...

Nah, he will be fine once he's back. No need to rush him anymore or over playing him.
He'll win us the CL! Bookmarked

Diaby isn't unlucky with injuries. He's a direct resutl of the mis-handling of Wenger and the physio staff because of our desperation to get players fit.

He's fúcked for life now.
