For me a 'big club' is a club which is participating in all major trophies.
Would you consider Nottingham Forest a big club these days?
to me a big club is like the one captain caveman used to wield....
The two biggest clubs in England for me are United and Liverpool
Other clubs have an awful long way to go before being considered alongside them
that's what we call Bubbles Wumming
think Inverness Caledonian Thistle must be one of the biggest, - 27 letters
Fans will obviously pick the definition that suits them and makes them feel like they support a big club.
in the "old days" a big club had a big ground with capacity to cater for for all the locals who wanted to go see them... probably 40k plus and way back 50-60k?
now "big" purely means able to play 150k+ wages per week and spend 30 mil + on players.
monaco are instantly big despite nobody there caring and them having a tiny ground.
chelsea have a tiny ground but win things due to spending as outlined above... it really is that simple... money money money.
what is Reina supposed to have said?
Lol..
Tottenham hotsperms not included in the multiboard. Admin on a massive WUM.
Yeah, what did Reina say?

this?
Are there any bigger clubs than Liverpool?
I'm not Wumning. I think it's very much relevant given Pepe Reina's (alleged) comments.

I'd still consider Forest a big club.
If that's your criteria, then we only have 3 (4 at best) big clubs and only 8 in Europe.
big club can have history or a big club with money, arsenal is the biggest because they have history and money
I expect this to be at least 300 comments long by the time I get home Bubbs!
This thread will probably result in about 100 people banned from the Liverpool board.
Hi Brummie
As long as it doesn't turn into a slanging match it's all good. Spurs board best avoided as some of their posters are incapable of debate.
Liverpool, arsenal, man united are the biggest in the PL,chelsea, city have endless money to compete and are faux clubs, was anybody calling city a big club when they were in league one??Or chelsea when they were getting average gates of 10,000?
Money talks, dirty cash i need you woaahhh.

Check the history and check how many times they have won Europe's premier competition
Arsenal are big but have won nothing recently and are yet to win the biggest one. United and Liverpool are the biggest.
If Chelsea owner leaves today they'll be in a lot of trouble. Don't think a big club should rely on a billionaire for success.
