Farewell, Zanetti. Legend of the game.
The most amazing winning goal for Atalanta by Franco Brienza, incredible strike in the 95th minute
How many sides get into Europe, 7?
No 6.
Juve set the points record.
So Milan are gonna need two other results to go their way on the final day.
I doubt they'll get it now.
Would like to see Torino get the final Europa League spot.
However it looks like its between Parma & AC Milan for the final Europa League spot.
Parma vs Livorno
AC Milan vs Sassuolo
Fiorentina vs Torino
Fiorentina & Inter have already secured their places.
Can't believe Sassuolo stayed up, looked dead and buried a few weeks ago.
Glad Palermo are going up, wonder how many managers they'll go through next season.
Prandelli has announced the provisional Italian squad:
Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus), Salvatore Sirigu (Paris St Germain), Mattia Perin (Genoa)
Defenders: Andrea Barzagli (Juventus), Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus), Giorigo Chiellini (Juventus), Gabriel Paletta (Parma), Andrea Ranocchia (Inter Milan), Ignazio Abate (Milan), Mattia De Sciglio (Milan), Christian Maggio (Napoli), Matteo Darmian (Torino), Manuel Pasqual (Fiorentina)
Midfielders: Andrea Pirlo (Juventus), Claudio Marchisio (Juventus), Thiago Motta (Paris St-Germain), Marco Verratti (Paris St-Germain), Riccardo Montolivo (Milan), Daniele De Rossi (Roma), Antonio Candreva (Lazio), Marco Parolo (Parma), Alberto Aquilani (Fiorentina), Romulo (Verona)
Forwards: Mario Balotelli (Milan), Antonio Cassano (Parma), Alessio Cerci (Torino), Ciro Immobile (Torino), Giuseppe Rossi (Fiorentina), Mattia Destro (Roma), Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli)
I am surprised that there is no Florenzi, otherwise this is roughly what I expected.
I can't believe Cassano is listed there though.
I'm also glad that the Torino players are getting recognition for a great season.
I can't believe Gilardino hasn't been listed.
Good squad. No Totti, though.
Yes, I was hoping for Totti to be a surprise inclusion, but it would have been just that- a surprise.
Otherwise, there's a lot of promising young players there.
Perhaps Astori?
No Fabio Borini either.
Good season for Sunderland.
Shocked not to see him included.
I also forgot to do what I regularly do after many results in Serie A this season and laugh at Milan.
Milan.
Borini over who though, Coolinter?
I don't think he has done enough- a few penalties are not enough to convince me he should get a place ahead of what I'd say are better players in Serie A.
Decent Italy squad, only Florenzi missing for me
Borini is a big game player.
If it came down to penalties - Borini has cold blood & has the steel to take one.
I am not convinced. Who do you drop for him? Cassano obviously, but then I expect Prandelli to drop him anyway for the proper squad.
My squad from this would be
Buffon, Perin, Sirigu
Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Ranocchia, De Sciglio, Abate, Pasqual, Maggio
Pirlo, De Rossi, Marchisio, Candreva, Motta, Verratti, Montolivo
Cerci, Rossi, Balotelli, Immobile, Insigne
Fabio Borini is better than all of those strikers on the list apart from Balotelli.
I have not watched much of Serie A this season but Borini deserved a place.
