Gilardino

I flicked over to check the results at the end of the night and I started laughing when they said Gilardino scored.

Luca Toni's being kept a seat on the plane to Rio.

You can do it on FIFA

Some of our fans will be angry that we lost to Sweden, but I really admire the Swedes- they consistently punch above their weight by reaching these tournaments and they prove to be a tricky team for many nations.

Ibra's passing tonight was excellent.

Looks good.

Gone for Bardi as no3 GK as i always like to take a young keeper to tournaments and i think he is the future no1

Not sirigu?

posted on 6/9/13

no

Sirigu will be there for sure.

Motta, Verratti and Ogbonno are in with a shout as well.

And from what I heard from Prandelli say Cassano, Totti and Di Natale could get a call if they're playing well enough.

Would love to see the old boys bow out on a high for Italy and win the World Cup.

It'd be the second time Totti will have done it.

Yeah Sirigu is excellent.

I want to see how Rannochia does for Inter this season too.

Verratti could make it too.

posted on 6/9/13

Verratti will take over from Pirlo IMO

posted on 6/9/13

Ranocchia is over-rated, Astori is far superior

I can see Montolivo being given the task of being the main Italian playmaker in the Italy side when Pirlo retires. I don't think he's as good playing further forward and he's better than Verratti.

Sirigu is molto bene

Monti, Poli and Verratti for euro 2016

Italy have some great young forwards- Balotelli (he's still very young), El Sha, Insigne, Gabbiadini.

If they do not win the World Cup- then they could have a shout at the Euros.
