So the Sky curse happened again.

I thought we actually played really really well for about 80 yards of the pitch, it's just that cutting edge again.

Been a phenomenal season, but we should try our best and hold this together as the Europa League is still a realistic aim.

Had we won yesterday there'd have been a point in it. Need to just maintain a Europa League place, which I think would be 7th at worst this season?

Only watched about 10 mins but it's been all Sevilla

Valencia played 40 minutes with 10 men and Rakitic missed a pen for Sevilla. Looks like Valencia's fortunes have changed under Pizzi. Shame for them they're so far back.

I'm dreading playing them...

"Villarreal deplores and condemns what happened. We are convinced that this is a person who is outside of Villarreal and has specifically come to harm the club.

"We are making all appropriate inquiries and hope to be able to identify as soon as possible to the perpetrator and come down on him with the full weight of the law.

"Such acts do not represent the fans of Villarreal. The club wants to apologise and to acknowledge the work of the security forces in the evacuation.

Got to say this is a problem all over Europe at the moment, I think fans are able to get them from China over the Internet. It's going to take something awful happening before action is taken...

Impossible to judge on the basis of their showing against Rayo. The way Jemez sets up was always going to mean them shipping a shedload.


Henrik, don't think anyone here thinks the incident taints Villarreal as a club. Just listening to Radio Marca this morning, they're appealing to any fans who might have seen this ape to call in in an effort to try and locate him.

I reckon this was probably some idiot who nicked the canister thinking it was 'just smoke'. I doubt anyone in their right mind would fling tear gas in their own section of the crowd.

Rayo went head to head with Barca, trying to press and play a passing game, 6-0 is flattering for them. I like how they approached the game, wish everyone would do the same.

Tomorrow is one of those games where any result is possible. Personally I think a 1 goal defeat might be good enough providing you score.

Got to score 2 or more and finally be clinical, use 70-80% of scoring chances we get.
