IOAG, i agree that he had decent playing time but as i had lamented all season; RM's midfield looked very disjointed.
Alonso and Perez have already defended him and say he is going nowhere.
Granted, he did not shoulder responsibility like he did at Sociedad and at the U-21 championships, he was excellent.
It would be interesting to see the CM next season - Carlow would have had one season, maybe time to start fading out Xabi?
DTKF, it's not as if we have Ams or those with delusions of AM capability.
Isco, please come to us.
--
Wtf?
I think Isco is better on the wing anyway, TRC.
Obviously won't happen. I just want him to come to us.

Definitely. Time doesn't stand still and all too often these transitions are left too late. I reckon Alonso is good managerial material.
DK, it depends on how LVG intends to set up. Don't look to Isco out wide if you want width.
It'll be interesting to see how Ancelotti goes about it. One of the things I've noticed from his time at Milan, and to a lesser extent Chelsea, was that he had trouble phasing out the older players and relied on them too much.
ioag, yep that's true. I'm still unsure how LVG is going to set up really because in Mata, Rooney and RVP we have three star players that are best in central areas.
Hopefully Rooney will be played as a forward on the left of a 433 with Mata in behind RVP.
Yes, he is better coming in from the left but as IOAG opined, not for width.
I am not comparing but Isco's style has shades of Zidane. Outrageously talented, close control, very good dribbler, eye for goal, coming in from the left...
Btw, it is too early, yes. But i struggle to see Isco REALLY making a mark in this RM team incarnation.
Of course, Isco needs to develop his game and learn to drop back but with CR and Bale on both wings and Angel proving indispensable...i envisage an unfulfilled few years.
Isco is more end product that creativity imo. I'm not sure vision is such an easy skill to develop - it seems more like a gift you either have or you don't - but if you can develop it, then it's definitely an area he needs to work on.
DK, weren't Milan's financial troubles already starting by the time he left? That might have had something to do with it. As for Chelsea, well, the old guard still had a CL left in them, as we all saw later.
Yeah I agree.
I think he suited Malaga better than Madrid as well. He'll need to adapt his game to really make his mark at Madrid.
And as I said, with him looking better on the left than the middle it's no surprise he's not been as influential as he could be.
They still had money. They bought Zlatan for like £20m after he'd left.
He does favour the older players. Hard to tell how much of these problems are down to him, though.
Yeah they fluked a CL but weren't anywhere near challenging for the title until this season.
Madrid is a bit different, though, because you're always buying shiny new toys so he's got a lot more resources to replace older players.
If we could sign Morata and then get Torres and Asenjo back we could go far in the Europa League.
I also seen in the papers that Monaco have rejected the chance of signing Valdes;
http://www.elperiodicomediterraneo.com/noticias/deportes/monaco-cierra-puerta-valdes_879443.html
Maybe Isco should have followed Pel to City?
Anyhow, it will be interesting watching him develop.
I hope he lives up to his potential and the cauldron of RM doesn't mismanage him because IMO, Isco is a player with immense potential.
I have a feeling Perez wants Suarez.
Probably would have been a better move. But then he'd still have the problem of David Silva occupying his best position.
Easier to displace Silva than Ronaldo, though.
Yeah I hope he does as well. He's still got plenty of years ahead of him to improve.
DTKF, true.
But at City, Silva cuts in from the right mainly. He would only have to displace the mercurial Nasri.
No he doesn't. He plays on the left. Nasri and Navas play on the right usually.
Silva is versatile so you'd imagine he'd probably move to the other side. But Silva is best on the left, in my opinion.
Fair enough. I would say he plays more centrally but as you said he is very versatile.
For Spain, Silva plays on the right mainly and he thrives there.
He and Isco could interchange like the former and Nasri currently do for City.
Yep that's true. It's why they look a much better side with Nasri playing than any of their other options due to his ability to play either side and come infield.
Navas is too one dimensional and Milner is a solid but unspectacular player.
Madrid is a bit different, though, because you're always buying shiny new toys

You mean Pérez only wants Veratti as his new ánal vibrator?
