Thing is everyone is allowed their own opinion. But it's how you go about it
Pride of the North - totally agree with you. I get the feeling from some comments on these boards that some people just couldn't wait for Moyes to fail, like vultures around a kill. Let's get behind both him and the team and show a bit of support. Doesn't mean Moyes is immune to criticism, but 8 games in is no time to judge a manager.
The same goes for Fellaini - do I think he is a superstar? No, but he can do a decent job for us given the time and the support, I think people are expecting him to be something that he's not.
Of course if down the line and Moyes is really struggling and the team showing little signs of going nowhere, then you can question his position, but right now let's get behind him and hope that he can turn things around.
What makes you think Moyes will turn it around, what historical evidence suggests this?
Historical evidence?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
SLM - I said hope he turns it around. Tell me, whether you think he will turn it around or not, do you WANT him to turn it around, or do you simply wish him to fail so that he is sacked. We all know that Moyes has never managed a big club with a chance of winning titles, so we don't know one way or the other if he can turn it around, but Isure as hell hope he does - do you, or are you so keen for him not to be our manager that you effectively want him and the club to fail??!!
You can't help but feel they enjoy our bad results more than they do our good ones....
The fans have been great to Moyes. I am at every home game and the fans are constantly singing his name. The away fans have been evern better which is no shock.
He's getting the support. People writing stuff on message boards is fine as long as people get behind him on a saturday which they are doing.

I think we are starting to see were moyes is going with this team. Apart from fellaini and carrick starting I dont think most utd fans had a problem with the starting 11. Moyes wouldnt have started both if hed got the cm player he wanted in the summer. Judging fellaini after 2 months is ridiculous.
I want to know what does one actually mean by "Getting behind the manager"?
Is it just posting "In Moyes We Trust" on anonymous football forums or singing "Moyes Boys" chants at games no matter what?
The truth the only people that matter are the players.
And those players are playing poorly. Now these are the same players bar Fellaini that walked the league last season put in 100%.
Now why arent they doing it now?

SLM - I said winning titles, winning a cup is a great achievement, but there is a degree of luck attached to it.
But I would like you to answer the question - do you actually WANT Moyes to succeed?

It called supporting your team. Moyes aint going anywhere so instead of magnifying the negatives look at the positives and get behind him.

Yes I do.
But is it going to happen, does he have the ability as a manager?
Of course Moyes and the team should be criticised for the position they are in, but it's one thing to criticise him/them for that, another to question whether he should be sacked, after 8 games??!!!, and rake over old ground about him being appointed in the first place. Moyes IS our manager, that ain't going to change in the immediate future, but some people still can't accept that. There isn't one of us who doesn't wish that we were in a better position, but you get the feeling that some are more obsessed with Moyes failing rather than wanting him to succeed just to prove their own point of view right.

It isn't all down to Moyes though. I agree moyes needs to take a large proportion of responsibility and I think his tactics and subs have been very poor thus far.
However the players also need to take a long look at themselves. At the minute they are all being outshone by an 18 yr old. The likes of rio, carrick and RVP 3 of our best players last season have made poor starts. The wingers need a kick up the backside, Felliani needs to massively improve and start imposing himself on games like he did for Everton against the big clubs.
I do feel a bit for Kagawa and Hernandez. They need to start playing more
you are truly an imcompetant poster who is incable of thinking long term.
----------
Tell me what long term you're on about?
From 2003/04 - 2013/14 Everton are the 20th highest net spenders.....
Or to put it another way of all the teams currently in the premiership everyone spent more than Everton in the last 10 years and there's probably a few in the Championship as well like QPR.
SLM many people in the game rate Moyes highly I think he is a very good manager.
Yes he hasn't had a good start but he has the ability to improve us.
