"We have already published our accounts from this year?!"
Yes, you publish yours quarterly so unless you have a mass exodus in January, it's pretty easy to work out your wage bill.
SAF - the self-proclaimed victor.
This is going to be (well, already is) a cyclical argument that is irrelevant.
Yep. Wouldn't waste your time on this, melton.
You are actually coming off worse that Haf would.......

In Manc's world that sentence suddenly becomes unreadable...
But yes clearly I am crazy because I am saying the easily verifiable fact that City have spent more than United.
Great logic
I do believe that you mentioned it a few days ago and wanted to use something like the retail price index (RPI) to say it hardly made a difference.
Several posters said you need to use football inflation as that would be more accurate.

I want no part of your crazy fantasies, this never happened in reality.

As I pointed out it was someone else claiming victory a few posts before mine, funny you didn't have a problem with that though
Fair enough Melton figured they were published yearly, I guess from the lack of answer on my playing staff point that that actually makes the difference though?
And yeah it is a pretty pointless argument.
We pay more tax than you as we don't swerve it by being in debt.
Sorry saf, I'm in meetings so didn't see that bit.
You shift your support staff, and have done for a while, to your subsidiary. Historically, we haven't, so the wage bill wasn't a like for like comparison. Last season, we started to do the same.
It's a tax dodge, essentially. That and FFP.
Ok, let's always forget about context as SAF says that doesn't happen in reality.

So we just flat out making up stuff now then?
Melt I have heard a few times that Coty have higher wages so my guess is City have higher playing staff wages but United have higher non playing staff wages, basically I imagine the difference between us paying our owners to be our owners and you not rather than money spent on success.
Well done LQ, all big companies shouldn't dodge tax.
That used to be the case until we got Begiristain. He shifted away a lot of high earners and renegotiated all of our contracts to lower base salaries. Up to Pellegrini joining, essentially. That year also included the pay off to Mancini and his obscene entourage (for some reason, they don't separate that out)
So why do United dodge tax then? Company is correct as you removed football club from the tittle years ago.
For all your talk of wages and net spend don't you find it a bit wrong that whilst Manchester city pay their tax and the owners put money into Manchester improving it for local people that United dodge paying their way and basically hand money from the club to shareholders and the glazers?
It's disgusting that they dodge UK tax. I also dislike those big companies that do the same, it isn't just Utd.
Rather than worry about which club has spent the most money, that should be near the top of the list for all of us.
Just imagine if Utd. paid £50M corporation tax a year. How many doctors and nurses would that buy?
And they trumpet their financial results yet don't put anything back in.
That's the difference between Manchester city and Man U, one is club for the people the other is a faceless shareholder tax dodging corporate soulless entity taking money out of the community.
Pathetic club.
A lot of clubs do it by setting up holding plcs.
The issue is have with United now is that they are paying out a dividend to the Glazers of around 20m a year, which is effectively all their profits. At the same time, the debt has stagnated (and actually gone up due to the currency rate).
They're doing nothing wrong in a business sense. Ethically, it doesn't sit right, but then this is all linked to the creation of plcs. FA rules used to stop that from happening, which is what I find a real shame.
Wow what a childish little rant that was. I don't think you'll find any of us agreeing with what the Glazers do.
Are Man City fans concerned. Man Utd showed to teams how to get a 0-0 draw against Man City. Now teams are following suit.
Rant haha hardly!
Think of how much that dodged tax money could help the public coffers.
Oh yes really the pride of Manchester.
It surprises me (not) that Utd. fans don't say much about the tax situation.
Are you concerned you will get lost on your first ever visit to old Trafford tomorrow haf?
For someone who talks about United so much you sure don't make an effort to actually support them.
It's a concern.
I am the ABU pundit/fans slayer.
