does anyone have a job or work for a company / govt dept that could be affected by an yes vote?
will people really fall on their own sword to give a yes vote, knowing they might end up losing their job as a result?
Trident removal would see 10,000 go in one hit.

Admin,
Surely there is no shame from the SNP in holding their hands up to that fact?
That's very true, but all politicians should be made to do the same and questioned to tge same level of scrutiny! The politicians should be held accountable for all that they promise and no level of excuses for their failures should be acceptable, afterits our futures they are playing with!

Fido, unlike most normal elections I actually think it would work to the SNPs advantage. As it negates much of the No campaigns negative politicking .

You can say that again Fido.
Sorry Admin et al, ma machine is playin funny burgers!
The political structure is failing in the UK. Career politicians have saw to that. Apathy born of frustration keeps them in power.
'don't vote for them you'll just encourage them'
B Connolly.
Ivan - not to dissimilar to Wales & the decline of their coal industry. The Union didn't help much there.
It's a shame the Yes campaign can't admit to weaknesses, but if they did the No campaign would jump up & down all over them, such is the nature of politics.

The no campaign tells us we'll be £1k worse off, we'll lose government contracts and some telly programmes. It's hardly convincing. Oh and we can't join nato.
people who do work for govt departsments which span the UK will be affected
i cant see them falling on their own sword
Apparently Sean Connery will move back to Scotland if it's a yes.
This news .... Is completely irrelevant as I don't think anyone believes or cares.
Unfortunately that's been pretty much the level of debate from both sides.
I'll be voting no.
my spelling is a disgrace
anyone using connery as a reason should be disqaulified from voting

Again the £1k worse of thing. Is another example of binary economics. If the No capmaign doesnt even know if the UK will be in the EU come 2017 it cant exactly determine with any credibility how better or worse off someone is going to be North of the border after independence. The White-paper has and to its credit a range of £150billion to £1.5 trillion of North Sea oil reserves. That actually figure whatever it is(we will never really know) could render a economic No argument totally and utterly void .

I'm not really a fan of the economic argument. Scotland is likely to be better off with less military spending & the oil revenue, but it just feels like a bribe to either vote "Yes" or "No".
No-one can really say what will happen, both Scotland or the UK could get a terrible government that ruins the economy. There could be another crash, a new boom. You may as well try to predict the weather on 23 March 2016.
