Sometimes players just don't settle. Best to cut your losses for both the club and the player rather than drag it out.
im sorry but spurs need to make him settle!
to pay all that money for him is a joke if we loan him out unless it is to another pl club where he can get regular games and then come back to us a better player.
Erik Lamela’s Tottenham career looks all but over after his father revealed the player is desperate to quit White Hart Lane.

Feck me. Sensationalism at its best. Took him a year to settle in Italy. Just fecking play him!
well if its in the metro is must be true........
The Metro are so fecking anti Spurs, I would not take too much notice. The bottom line is he is under contract, so unless Spurs can recoup all of the £30 million, he won`t be leaving even if he wanted to.
First of all Metro is 90% bull5hit, IF this is true maybe his fathers threats are nothing more than Lamela using these comments as a way of being given more of a chance, in a kind of `play me more or I will go` ultimatum.
Either way, it would be madness to get rid of Lamela after such a short time, he has bags of ability and potential, look what happened to Bale after a slow start.
I can`t believe he is not playing more regularly.
Apparently in the PL he's played less than the equivalent of 4 games lol
Yep only Spurs could sign a player for £30 million, whos seen as good enough to play with the likes of Messi, Aguero, Di Maria etc etc and then decide, actually Gylfi Sigurdsson, Andros Townsend and Aaron Lennon are better.
Ridiculous situation.
I can understand Tim not starting games as we have the tried and tested Lennon but im surprised he hasnt used Lamela more off the bench.
Lamela looks like he could provide something different to what our other players could, you would hope a match winner with the money we have paid.
Give us £32M and he can go !!!
*starting Lamela in games
peterbaey im not sure if anyone knows how good he is as he hasnt been given a chance, thats the problem.
It's up to Lamela to show the bottle to fight for his place. The club cannot hand him a starting role just because we paid 30m.From what i have seen he has has decent opportunities to impress but has not lived up to the hype.
I think that he is finding PL football too fast and physical and feels that he cannot cope. It's nothing to do with Spurs.
I hope he stays and shows some determination.
facking hell don will hit the roof when he reads this
