I can safely say this has been one of the most boring days on ja606 since its inception. No funny wum threads to get stuck into. Just everyone getting along nicely debating sensibly. How rubbish.

This is true...

Modric may not be playing due to 'unforeseen circumstances' as well

Mr Chelsea you missed two of the best posts ever.

One on the Cove Rangers board and one on the spurs board where everyones names got changed to everyone one elses. went confusing but fun

abu-diabibi™ - Cove Rangers Fanatic - I love my Spurs boys (EDIN, THUDD, RRP, DOOVDE, SHELF) - Bubbles and Don are the Posh and Becks of 606 - I miss A Bould Statement (U5147)

I would agree with that
Really can't see spurs scoring even if de gea helps them

Phil Jones = outstanding.

Unless keeping a clean sheet is vunerable

I still believe Man Utd were weaker without Rio & Vidic. The result was fair, the score-line was flattering. Spurs should have taken the lead in the first half & possibly added to it in the early period of the second. They didnt & subsequently got punished for it.

To claim United (or any club for that matter) are not weaker without their best 2 CB's, is a bit silly.

Chicken, I actually think at this moment. Jones is better than Rio. I thought that last season as well.

And Vidic?

posted on 23/8/11

Not Vidic, but i wouldn't class rio and vidic as their 2 best CBs

Fergie does.

Jones was outstanding last night, had a great game and united's defence looked at ease all game.
Chicken I'm interested to know when you thought spurs should have taken the lead in the first half when united had quite a few clear cut chances and should have taken the lead on a few occasions, when all spurs did was take unrealistic shots from distance!

™ju§t,

I thought Spurs chances far outweighed United's in the first half, VdV had a good chance & so did Bale. Apart from Cleverley's (unrealistic shot from distance) i didnt feel threatened by United at all & thought we went into the break quite comfortable & were the better team.

If chances are all those shots from distance that didn't trouble the keeper then you did.
You are the only person I've heard who thinks spurs should have taken the lead.
Cleverly forced a good save from your keeper and young should have scored with freidel scrambling to make the save. United came closer to scoring in the first half, there is no doubt!
