They played 3 players of similar attributes to Wijnaldum in a midfield 3 yesterday.
Netherlands dgaf.
I think he'd be better further forward but we're stocked in ATM!
Strootman holds and Wij and Sneijder join the attack.
Wij is top scorer since Danny Blind took over.
That's similar to us then with Hendo holding and Gini and Lallana pushing on. Just I'm not sure Hendo is at his best as a holding midfielder. I assume Can will take over that role and Hendo/Gini/Lallana will rotate?
Liverpool U23s drawn in the same group as Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town and West Brom in new Premier League Cup.

Not necessarily as easy as it sounds Adam. Most of our best U23s are either very young (Woodburn) with the first team (Ojo, Randall) or out on loan (Kent, Ward, etc).
Good to see Harry Wilson back playing for the U23s after his injury though.
