U23's win again.

3-0 v Sunderland.

Two for Ings and 1 for Trent A-A who was MOM by all accounts.

9 goals in 2 games at fortress Anfield

Still conceded a goal from another corner but they are much easier to take when we're smashing teams for four or five!

Trent A-A scored a fantastic goal for the U23's

I will be gutted if we don't smash Utd for 4 or 5 to be honest.

I know it's silly to be overconfident for such a game, but I look at their team of people who can run, and the energy with which we are playing, and can only see 1 result at the moment.

The only danger for me is if they get a goal early. The way we play gives big counter attack chances, Hull had a couple in the first 5 on Saturday where a better ball and they would have been in.

Early on is the best time to score against us as we haven't yet built up that pressing head of steam where teams can't get out of their half.

If we manage the first 10 mins then I can only see 1 winner.

Not fussed about the Utd game. We'll turned it on against them.

Need to smash Swansea first.

I would be happy with a scrappy one nil win.

The win in this game is really all that matters.

I make us favourites though, we have been playing some fabulous football so far this season. However, in these type of games Mourinho has a habit of getting results.

Yep!

I don't worry about us and the big games, it's the away days at Swansea, Stoke, WBA, Sunderland that we always seem to struggle with and they are games we have to be on point in.

Klopp seems to have sorted our mentality out for those types of games. When we concede we no longer crumble and invite more pressure upon ourselves. I thought or response to Chelsea's goal was very good. In previous seasons that game may well have ended in a draw/defeat.

We were still in the lead though.

Burnley is the only game that we've been behind in this season and look what happened.

Who scored first in the Spurs game?

Im right...as usual

I'm sure that last season we threw away more points from winning positions than any other team in the league.

If we manage to go the rest of the season without going behind I'll be a very happy man.

One of the Utd fellas said somewhere on here recently that in the distance covered per team, we are top and Utd bottom. I haven't checked it but if true then we'lll be running rings around that bunch of over-paid plodders.

I see that footballing genius Garth Crooks reckons that "Coutinho will have to regularly fly halfway around the world to keep his international commitments and should he ever pick up a long-term injury, Liverpool can kiss goodbye to a top-four place. It's enough to keep a manager awake at night." .

I'm pretty sure Klopp is sleeping very well knowing that we still play well and win when Coutinho isn't in the 11! Really can't stand Crooks! (Ironic, being a scouser I suppose.... )

It's a fair point that we haven't shown we can come from behind to get a result much, we did win from behind against Arsenal though remember.

Of course the best thing is to score first every game, but inevitably that's not going to happen all the time.

I think we have already shown more strength in closing out games though. I'm not sure we would have beaten Arsenal or Chelsea in the past from 4-3 and 2-1.

! Knew i missed a game somewhere

Arsenal aint a good stick to measure mental strength with though....they can be as bad as us.

I know it's a bold statement but it's how I feel.

They can't threaten from set pieces if they don't have the ball or get near our goal.

I think we could have beaten them 4 or 5 in the Europa, and we are a better team now. I'm not sure they are much better than they were last season yet, and I think much of the Mourinho fear factor is decreased by the team he has now.

We'll see though. It wouldn't be the first time I have been confident before a big game and proved wrong.

United game is 3 weeks away.

Lets not be overlooking Swansea. The most important game is the next one.

Just more of the same as how we started on Saturday. Don;t let them breathe, kill then game off in the 1st, cruise in the second.

When was the last time a Jose team conceded 4 or 5? Genuine question, I don't know, but I bet you can count it one hand all the times it's happened in his managerial career.I think it's more than just bold to be honest.

Anyway as manfrom says Swansea is the priority, we lose there last season albeit with our second team, so we have a point to prove on our return.
