Wolfsburg come away with a 1-2 victory. Continental club sides seem to be always a level above ours in their youth ranks.

Lori is still going to be playing in our U21's when he is 52.

its the u23's

I'd laugh if ings makes more apps for the u23s than the first team this season

Beginning to think there won't be a future for instance here.. Too many strikers not enough positions.

agreed, unless theres injuries hes not getting ahead of sturridge, origi and firmino

Ings could possibly go on loan but the problem is both Origi and Sturridge are prone to injuries. Long term it may be a case that Sturridge leaves. He will not be happy on the bench.

Did I just hear it's RAP's Birthday?

Where's the ???

Yeah if Sturridge doesn't start getting more minutes then I can see him kicking up a fuss especially if a big club like Arsenal are interested in him. Will be interesting how it'll play out.

Arsenal wont come in for him. Wenger has done his shopping for the next 5 years.

United is a big NO

Don't think he is a Pep player.

Chelsea maybe?

He's not a Poch player.

I think for Sturridge the next move will be someone like Everton or West Ham. Not sure he will fancy that.

If Ings proves his fitness I think it will be him that stays and Sturridge who leaves.

He's never going to be fit enough for Klopp's style to play regularly. Misses too many training sessions.

Ings is not an adequate replacement for sturridge imo

posted on 29/9/16

Sturridge has played 247 mins of football so far.

Not even 3 games worth over 8 games, and that's with no Europe, so it should be easier for him to stay fit.

A fit Ings is easily good enough to fill that role for us, of rotation/sub striker.

posted on 29/9/16

Its all well and good saying hes easily good enough, but hes not actually shown it on the pitch like sturridge has

posted on 29/9/16

Well he has, just in a very short period of time, but it's my opinion the same as your opinion is based on him not being adequate.
