We really need to be getting Sturridge onto the pitch whenever we can. If that's for 20 games a season the sobeit. It's not like we can get a player in as good as him. It could make a difference to our season.

---

I don't really understand this argument when we are the top scoring team in the country this year, with Sturridge playing a minimal role.

We have outgrown our reliance on him. It's probably Klopp's biggest achievement so far.

I agree we have outgrown our reliance on him, however a player of his ability on the pitch for twenty games a season could be the difference between finishing seventh and fourth. We have no need to fire him in for every game as we now have loads of options and can now do what's best for both him and the club by selecting the games he plays. It's not like we would get money for him his ability would demand, due to the injuries, so why give him to another club to benefit from?

Seems Henry isn't sold on the idea of expanding the Andield Road End. Ticket pricing seems to be an issue, both the capping of home fan prices after the walkout, and also prices for away fans.

“I don’t know if there is a next step because ticket prices are an issue in England,” the Principal Owner of Liverpool FC said. “That may foreclose further expansion. We’ll have to see.”

Sturridge is a great striker but I think that we are far more effective with Firmino up top. Watch how he drags defences completely out of position with his runs enabling the likes of Mane and Couts the freedom to score

That's true when we're playing well. But we need someone like STUDGE when the team are having an off day. He's more likely to sneak a goal than anyone else.

Well Studge'll probably get plenty of game time during the ACON...... If she's fit.....

He could probably do a job at left back if Milner ever got injured.

Ill admit I never wanted Sturridge when we signed him, then for 18 months I was proven horrifically wrong..

Since then.. Well I'm at a point where I wouldn't be upset if he was sold. Klopp mentioned Sturridge on MNF at one point so he's clearly in the managers mind

On one hand Sturridge has lethal finishing, on the other I believe he tries to dictate play in such a way as the chances will fall to him, and again, flip side he linked well with mane a few games ago.. Very well!!

Then we have origi who won't develop his full potential without games and is a very exciting prospect. Plays for the team, athletic, powerful.. And he loses out if Sturridge plays.

Problem being, we don't want to jettison our good squad depth due to our focused efforts this season, or next year if/when we have CL we will struggle with rotating players and maintaining a good win ratio..

I do find Saturday lunchtime kick offs a right pain. 1500 or 1730 are fine, as you can get everything done by then.....

Daughter has gymnastics until 1230, so normally race home and get most of the game. She's buying it with her birthday money, so in fairness wants to be there when she buys it!

Just going to have to take this one on the chin
