I reckon they should ban trollies except for those who are infirm.
That way people just use a basket to buy that which they need for the short term.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can’t stop people doing their weekly shop. It might be their only day off.

They'll have to get just what they need. Not what they want.
Make the sacrifice to go a couple more times, if needed.
People swanning around with trollies full is not the answer.

At least for the short term this will preserve stocks and stop the panicking.

They can say maximum 2 items etc.. however they can't police it effectively.
Relies on people's good nature to think for a second. Self service checkouts basically allow you to buy what you want, rather than what you need.

Fine for you. For me my wife will be back at work on the front line working long unknown hours and I'll be at home with 3 kids under 8. I dont want to and cant go out and shop as needed. I want to do one shop per week with what we need to get through that week.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Will everyone be in the same position as you? No.
Your partner will have the ability to use their NHS badge for earlier access through the week.
It's for a very short term period to enable everyone to have what they really need. Not forever.
Was just my idea to allow more items to be available to more people.
I went a couple of times this week, people operating facking 2 trollies, facking filled with stuff they couldn't possibly get through in 3 weeks.. Who the fack needs 3 bottles of vimto?
csnt watch the football and everyone’s talking about shopping. Fred must be loving this

You’re wrong. There’s plenty to go round, if certain people stop hoarding. It’s the same people doing it. Most of us haven’t changed our shopping habits.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I only ever shop for a few days at a time and I'm continuing to do that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Same.. fack buying things for end of next week. Especially now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fine for you.
