They won during the week and qualified for the ACON
"We negotiated with Liverpool, which is one of the biggest clubs in the world, to have Naby Keita for the first game," Guinea coach Didier Six said.
"After that, we put him on the plane immediately and he will be available for the (Premier League) restart after seven days in isolation, during which time he can train.
"I made a proposal to the clubs so that we could be as strong as possible for the first match. It takes diplomacy, there's no point in yelling."
Naby will probably get injured start and of next season and then be fit for AFCON

So, Kabak, keep or give back?

Keep but I’d be getting in another more experienced player to replace Matip in the summer as well.
Yeah keep but I'd lose Matip if possible.
Despite my previous concerns about him I'd keep him for £18m, certainly a more reliable back up than Matip in terms of getting him on the field.
How does Curtis Jones not get in the U21 team? How are the U21s managed by a dinosaur.

One of the most bizarre appointments in recent times. That job should be for a younger manager who is progressive. Leaving out McNeil, Jones and Eze is outrageous.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah hes failed in 2 tournaments and when he was managing teams he was playing hoof ball.
Aidy Boothroyd Christ I didn’t even know he was still involved in football.
Him as u21 coach and Southgate as senior coach, genuinely embarrassing.
Imagine being coached during the week by Klopp, Anchelotti, Tuchel, Jose, Ole (maybe not) and then have Aidy Boothroyd coach you for England

Agree with this..
Our FA is so backwards in its appointments..
England have enough young progressive managers who could use this to gain experience.
The Netherlands have the same problem. The u21 are playing in an tournament with a dinosaur coach who benched two goalscorers and played with a winger and a number 10 as the two strikers.

The Athletic reports we are close to finalise a deal for Konate.

He is very injury prone. It will be like replacing Matip with Matip
He is injury prone but he is a very good defender. He is quick and dominant in the air.
There are not many young defenders with his attributes.

He is still only 21. Enough players who overcame their injuries when they got older.
