Surprises me if true. Klopp was praising him the other day. He's probably been told that he can only have 1 CB in summer and has gone with the guy with a suspect injury record to join Matip and Gomez.

I wouldn't want to sign Kabak either on the basis of I think a better CB could be signed in Konate regardless of his injury record.

Imagine not being able to make necessary signings because the fans can’t come up with their 20% contribution.

Why? If the club have any sense Matip will go in the summer. VVD isn't getting any younger so I'd be very much for the idea of keeping Kabak who I think has done really well and signing another.

PL winning season he was 4th choice at one point. Regardless he is never fit so why sit on another team treatment table when he has a nice slot at Kirby while pocketing 125k a week until 2024.
