Weird one Wilson.

It's saud you either have to be really good at lots of things or exceptional at one thing to make it in the Prem and Harry does carry a genuine threat.

Is his all round game that bad then?

Lose-lose for Man Utd tomorrow. Win and they keep us champions for another week at least. Lose and they hand the title to their local rivals!

Strikes a lovely dead ball but apart from that just a very ordinary player.

I've not really watched him at all the last couple of years.

We've not got a great deal coming through from what I've seen either but been lucky enough with Jones and TAA I guess.

I do like Clarkson but that's about it.

They're in the u18's arent they? Must admit I've not bothered once this season to catch them.

There's Billy Koumetio too who physically looks like a beast.

Messilowski looks promising but yeah, there isn’t a lot coming through the academy otherwise.

ive only watched a couple games but yeah they looked the best of the bunch vs arsenal u18 yesterday

Billy needs should be loaned out to a championship team. He will get more experience learning how to defend against senior professionals. He has the physical attributes to be a good defender.

He's 18 and I think he's better off training with the likes of VVD than Andre Wisdom at this stage. Really good players rarely get loaned out.

People calling Harry Wilson an ordinary player either haven't watched him play or have no idea about football. The guy is clearly very talented. Whether he's good enough to play for a top team, in terms of all round play, tactically etc is another story but one we haven't seen asked in a way that can be answered. Personally in my opinion he'd had offered a lot more than the options we have had in many games this season like Origi, Shaqiri and Ox. I'd love to see him given a chance. Played in the same Derby team as Mount under Lampard who I watched a lot and they were both outstanding. That includes tactically, in regards to pressing and chasing the ball back.

I'd give him a chance before writing him off. Elliott I'd loan out to a PL team, who play, like Brighton and if not loan Wilson again. I'd definitely not loan both but think Wilson looks more the ready player.

I do agree that he could have been more use to us than most of the other subs we’ve brought on in games this season. They’ve largely been pretty useless and not changed games in our favour. At least Wilson has the ability to do score from range or direct from a free kick.

We got an ooni Fyra last year and I absolutely love it.

Harry Wilson will be 25 next season. I'd hope he'd be more "ready" than an 18 year old with one full season under his belt. In terms of ability though, Elliott showed more in a couple of sub appearances than I have seen from Wilson.
I dont think he'll ever be better than a top championship team or maybe a lower prem team. He faded so much at Bournemouth and wasn't trusted at times when they needed to win at the end of the season.
He is obviously a talented player with a wand of a left foot but he'll never make it with us.

Elliott showed more than Wilson, in regards to what? Liverpool appearances? Not difficult is it, considering Wilson has played about two games for us. Certainly hasn't showed more overall. At 22 Wilson was banging in 15 goals in the Championship from wide, at 23 7 goals in a struggling PL team. Does Elliott have better potential and perhaps more to his game? Certainly but he's not ready yet as we saw when he did nothing in his sub appearances last season.

I'd just like to see him given a chance.

Getting used to it, I.e. getting the right heat, based on how well done you like your pizza.. stretching the base, launching the pizza.. etc etc etc

I've used it 5 times, the first two times weren't particularly edible.

Always said the same about Wilson.

When coutinho left we could have used him on the bench as a ranged threat, being 25 doesn't mean a huge amount tbh, a good number of players make it later in life, he's not his peak years yet and could have a good role for us changing games.


Ultimately though, that's up to klopp and he doesn't seem to see what he needs to.

Agree although worth pointing out that he just turned 24 in April.

Same age as Raphina and Saint-Maxim who both look like they are ready to take the next step up, not many players at that age established at top clubs

Appreciate Wilson isn't nearly as good as them, but the next step up to being an impact player/sub to carry a ranged threat against a low block is a world of difference to a starting player.

Id sell Shaqiri and give him a chance to be honest

I agree. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that he plays with better players and it improves his game and that he fights for a place at the club he's been at since he was 8. Every loan he's had he's performed and stated his intention is to go back the following season and take his chance at Liverpool, which he has never got.

It's no shock when some players never get the chance as they haven't shown they deserve it but the Wilson situation surprises me as he has went out to several clubs on loan and performed in a new side every time.

Trial and error mate.

I’ve been watching some videos on you tube and will have a crack from scratch in a few weeks but using a standard domestic oven.
