Anyone got a pizza oven, any recommendations

I’ve ordered some Don Pepinos pizza sauce and gonna try making some pizzas.

Anyone any good at this

I have the wood fired Ooni Karu.

Getting used to it, I.e. getting the right heat, based on how well done you like your pizza.. stretching the base, launching the pizza.. etc etc etc

I've used it 5 times, the first two times weren't particularly edible.

Trial and error mate.

I’ve been watching some videos on you tube and will have a crack from scratch in a few weeks but using a standard domestic oven.

I've gotten fairly good at it, let the first basket of kindling burn, reload it and for the minute you wait after refuelling before you put a pizza in, I use a cast iron pan to take some of the heat out the slab. When they say it cooks in X minutes, they are talking about ultra thin neopolitan pizza with its watery topping. I prefer mine in their for 5 mins or so, and without taking heat out the slab it would burn

Plenty of semolina on the paddle was the way around my issue with launching, that and putting less topping on.. if I want to really load one up I put it in for 1m with just the sauce on, then load it up and send it back in, gives the base time to firm up a little

I'm still trying to perfect the base, their recipe didn't work for me, so I've been using the bread maker to make the dough (and it's recipe) and I'm not great at stretching them out, it's a work in progress..

Good advice, yeah I want a crispy base.

The dough bit looks a biaaaaat, but practice makes ect.

Wilson turned 24 in March fwiw.

I'd be very wary of looking at his numbers. As said I've not watched him at Cardiff but Bournemouth certainly set the teteateteam up for him and you don't get that luxury at bigger clubs. People did the same with Shaq at Stoke, Gylfi at Swansea and so on. Far too many look at football on a spreadsheet imo.

So to say 'people calling Harry Wilson an ordinary player either haven't watched him play or have no idea about football.' seems a bit of a stretch to me.

Anyway he wont be making it with us Im sure and I can see simply by the way Elliot moves that he has a far higher ceiling but there we go.

Tbh I don't think anyone has suggested that Elliot doesn't have a far higher ceiling and isnt going to go further with us

My point, and TOORs is that he's clearly very very good at offering a skillset that's not present in our squad, getting ranged shots on target, and for that reason he could and possibly should have a spot on our bench.

For his amazing long range record alone he would offer more in my opinion than Ox, Origi and Shaq. We could comfortably let all three go by bringing in a versatile forward who can play both sides and retaining Wilson.

Wouldn't say Bournemouth were set up for him. They were battling relegation the whole season. In fact they often took him out for more solidity. He would have a luxury at Liverpool which would suit his game more than teams fighting relegation, that is he'd be playing on the front foot, which suits him.

I agree Elliott has a higher ceiling but he is not ready yet. Wilson could be if given an opportunity.
