Well clearly not, as this site didn’t exist in 2010. And I hardly used the old bbc 606.

Fair enough. My point still stands though. I expect the majority did what you said, there were others that backed what we did in the same way that I completely back what they did.

You can't take out owners from protests or riots. We only got rid of H&G because they could not pay the loan and we found a loophole. I want FSG Out but that will never happen and the same applies to Glazers.

If they had a chance to win the league the game would not have been cancelled.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dont think this is true to be fair
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think the point is that if United were realistically in the title race, the fans wouldn’t have carried out the protest before this game. Which is pretty likely imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The cynic in me does wonder whether they didn't do it on Thursday because it's likely they're going to win the EL.

Is it too late? Not with fans not being there surely? It's only 34 miles away, just play.
I thought they should have played last night myself. It all seems a bit over the top.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not as easy as "just play"
For a start you need policing, how many police will want to turn up tonight and potentially have their turn for a night in hospital while tensions are running high?
Secondly this fixture has been paid for by the TV deal, that means camera crews and equipment need to be at the ground, equipment broken yesterday needs replacing, presenters and commentators need to be roped in at short notice. They also aren't going to want the game to clash with other important broadcasts
Grounds crew need to do pitch preparations, the correct cleaning needs to be done in the changing rooms due to the covid breaches yesterday, transport needs to be arranged, pre match training, physiotherapy. You need players/managers/coaches/groundstaff to cancel any plans they had tonight
And there is absoloutely no guarantee that the same fans won't return knowing it's on tonight to make an even greater impact.
That's hardly even an exhaustive list.

Nothing but respect for Utd fans and the message they tried to get across yesterday.
Oh and once again, Gary Neville is a poes of the highest order
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing but respect?
Two policeman got injured, ones probably got a large scar across his face to look forward to, and instead of heading home to his family after work ended up at the hospital because some fans dislike their owners so much they think it's appropriate to beat up public servants.

You really think there's amiable solution to all of this?
Please volunteer your expertise to the Utd fans in their quest to rid their club of blood sucking owners since you have all the answers.
I said without anyone getting hurt. In an increasing number of circumstances direct action is the only route possible for people who or otherwise ignored. The growing narrative that there is a ‘appropriate way’ to protest is fairly dangerous
------
Why is it dangerous? There are appropriate ways to protest. That's a fact.
United fans have had the option of hurting the Glazers for decades and have not done it or done it enough. Glazers don't own the Premier league, they own Manchester United. All action taken should affect Manchester United and the Glazers only. What they did affected Liverpool and the whole league by extension.
They could have stopped going to games, buying season tickets and purchasing merchandise, use social media campaigns to discourage sales and hurt revenue which would for sure get better results than what they did.
What next? West Brom and Brighton fans bringing the league to a standstill when they become dissatisfied with their owners and holding up banners saying we decide when you play?
What's dangerous is the precedent being established here.

You may not expect to see it, but it would happen. 100%.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
100%?
Impossible to know that for sure. That's why I said "I don't see a scenario" in my argument.
The thing about protesting an injustice is that you can't do it only when it's convenient.
Doing it consistently and at the most inconvenient of times will look more genuine, demonstrate that you're serious and be taken more seriously and get more people to back your claim.
