Of course he's going to say he's happy with the squad, in the same manner Klopp always says he's happy with what we have, but in his final 2 seasons he always brought up the lack of investment.

Ben White tipped to get in the England squad over Coady. Surely Nat should have been the better option?

Nat Phillips would not be a better option than either Coady or White. I don't even think either of them should be getting in the squads but in fairness we are somewhat short at CB, especially with strength in depth.

Nat would be a humongous gamble tbh, he's done well but I certainly wouldn't select him

Coady has had a horrific season
Dier is not even a footballer
Can Stones perform without Dias?
Mings is a donkey
White has been playing in a back 3 or midfield

Nat for me is on form. He had Rhys next to him and we still kept 3 clean sheets and won at OT.

I disagree about Ben White being "miles ahead of him" though. White is massively overrated.

I'd have Stones and Keane but not much choice at the moment. Southgate should being Trent and play him in midfield, would love to see a a trial of that before we try.

Not Keane, god no. Desperately short at International level. The only Everton players worthy of being considered for that squad are Godfrey and Calvert-Lewin.

Godfrey is in the mix albeit he has been playing full back most of the season. If he gets in before Trent then Trent needs to find a Scottish grandmother

Trent would be perfect In a back 5, especially against minnows.

But Southgate is a clown and doesn't play good football, so I'm not surprised, completely and utterly disillusioned with the England team these days
