“ Klopp has three years left, Michael Edwards is leaving soon and all of our better players aside of Alisson, Jota, Trent and Robbo will be 30 or older this year.”
Just feels like there's no long termism really.
How do you entice replacement players for those approaching 30 and have just signed new long term contracts.
Hey come and sit on the bench for a couple of years until Salah’s legs go, then you can replace him. It’s a balance of keeping the squad happy, especially those not playing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sit on the bench
Have you seen Mane and Firmino the last 12 months?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who should we sign to replace the pair of them in your opinion?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This was everybody's comment and then Jota signed.

I firmly believe Klopp wouldn't go and buy, just for the sake of buying. I don't doubt he's always in the market looking for somebody, but he wouldn't just buy a forward because it seems "necessary" to buy a forward.
It's all well and good saying he doesn't trust Origi and Minamino, possibly true now because they are certainly on the fringes, but it's not as simple as "sell and we will find someone else". Which attacker is going to join Liverpool to effectively be 5th choice that's better than what is currently there?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why did he buy Konate then when we had Nat, Rhys and Ben?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because he felt he needed a CB to improve the starting XI, obviously...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But we have CBs that can sit on the bench already in the squad. Why buy someone for the sake of it?

This negativity is tiring
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I get that people don't like negativity, and we are a million miles ahead of where we were pre-Klopp but what I think people are annoyed with is that we don't seem to be capitalising on it. Klopp has three years left, Michael Edwards is leaving soon and all of our better players aside of Alisson, Jota, Trent and Robbo will be 30 or older this year.

Long term plan seems to be have a team of 40 year olds apart from gini he was too reliably fit and old at 30 .

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haven't you heard, there are no good forwards in the entirety of world football right now?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Name some that we would realistically get in who would replace Mane or Bobby? Although Jota is obviously Bobby’s replacement.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you saying there isn't a player in world football better than Sadio Mane who's been sub par for 18 months?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you read my comment in Dutch perhaps you could take it that way.

Just feels like there's no long termism really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Long term plan seems to be have a team of 40 year olds apart from gini he was too reliably fit and old at 30 .

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because in a year or two Matip will be gone, VvD will be on the decline and Konate may not be available. You cried all last season about us not replacing Lovren and how it was crazy having no back up for injury prone Gomez and Matip. Now we sign a quality CB you whinge about it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As per usual missing the point. Average said Klopp does not sign for the sake of it so I asked what was the sake for Konate when we had 3 CBs on the book to add to with Matip, VVD and Gomez
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The sake was everything I said. You're a wum aren't you. Nobody could be as thick as you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Divock Origi is likely to stay at Liverpool this season and fight for his place. (Sky)
Sigh.
