The actual age is not the problem...it's their performances and fitness levels we need to monitor very very closely.

Salah is the perfect example of this. He's the same age as Mane and Firmino but doesn't appear to be waning at all.
Jones, Elliot, Gordon, Kanate, Trent, Jota and that's just for starters.
Nearly all the top scorers in Europe were over 30.
This isn't the 80's anymore, I can see Salah playing well into his 30's.
Again, FAR too much made of this stuff.
Seriously, we have a good squad and are in good shape and have made a good start which could easily become a great one.
I'd be more worried about Klopp going in two seasons. Now THAT has validity.
I try not to think about Klopp leaving. Absolutely irreplaceable.

It'll be a big rebuilding job for any new manager that comes in, assuming Klopp only lasts until his contract runs out in a couple of years time.
Hopefully the recruitment is good over the next few years to add/replace any outgoing squad members and those who do begin to age a little bit.

As Robbing said, some people are panicking to a ridiculous level with this. They seem to think that once players hit 30 they’re finished. We’ve already got replacements for some players anyway. Jota for Bobby, Elliott and Jones in MF, Konate at CB.

That’s seven MF’s for three starting slots. Only Milner can be classed as ‘old’ by today’s standards. Two comfortably have three years of high level play left, the others 6+. Obviously dependent on form/fitness/development, but I’m just highlighting one area of the pitch where some have been critical of us not buying and I think there is no issue.

There are a few who just recycle the same stuff several times a day and it has become pretty dull tbf. Everyone knows their point of view so I’m not sure what they think they’re achieving by saying the same thing over and over.
midfield is ok, its the forwards/wide forwards where we need support
ACON we lose Mo and Sadio too
Thats January 9 to February 6 2022, although during that time the games look manageable and hopefully we will have them both back for Leicester game on the 9th of Feb.
So really on 2 PL games missed each but still think we need another option
