Wouldn't you say last summer was a big window?

Bought in 2 players who are first 11, one of which was already a world class player which is something we hardly ever do, and then the 3rd player is a quality back up/rotation option.

Compared to those around us, no. That should be a standard summer for a club with title aspirations.

Good window no doubt, aside from not replacing Lovren which has a gamble that could not have backfired any more spectacularly

We've been saying for a few windows that we're expecting a big window and it hasn't happened.

We won't spend in January, we very rarely do.

I find it utterly bizarre that so many people on here are content to just watch football and don't want to see their team progress or in our case capitalise on our already excellent position.

Sort of thing we'd have laughed at Spurs / Arsenal fans for a couple of years ago.

Obviously...cos expectations were low. They have risen since.

Funny how they always go back to our lowest point. Hodgson and H&G like that is supposed to make you feel better.

There's a distinction between wanting to see the team progress and throwing the toys out of the pram for lack of investment.

I want to see the team improve, of course I do. I enjoy Liverpool winning, it makes me happy.

What I'm not about to do is get annoyed/frustrated/angry about a situation I have zero control over. If the owners spend then great. If not, I'll see watch the games and still get enjoyment from the wins. Getting annoyed about it achieves nothing.

People were definitely happier when we had Hodgson and brought in the likes of Konchesky and Poulsen. Far less moaning than now when we spend hundreds of millions and win Prems and CL's.

Well "here" didn't exist for months after the FSG takeover.

And plenty of people were moaning about the Hodgson days. Remember endless moaning about the midfield of Spearing and Poulsen. Those were dark dark days.
