Wasn’t his fault what so ever! Neither was it a red card just a freak accident but these things happen in football❤️ I’ll be back stronger 100%. Thanks for all the support 🙏

Harvey Elliott doesn't think it was a red card, always on the wum that kid.

There isn't a single case that I can think of whereby there has been a serious injury like this and it hasn't been a red card.
It's a result of the injury, but that's always the case when it's that serious.

I’m not sure there’s anything in the rules that states the punishment depends on the injury. I genuinely don’t know, but would be very surprised.
I’m kind of on the fence with it tbh. Not a malicious tackle at all with no intent, but his feet did leave the ground. I have a feeling that if Elliott gets up and carries on it would only be a yellow.

Watching Everton game and Richarlison was down in the first minute and needed the physios on the pitch after a very similar tackle to Elliot's. Burnley player booked and if Richarlison had been seriously injured it could have reasonably been red.

That's not what I said but even then, I think it's common knowledge that refs react to the severity of injury. Whether that's right or not is another debate.

Well no, the fact that you said ‘could reasonably been red’ can only be interpreted as if he’d been seriously injured then the ref would have been right to send him off as opposed to the yellow given because he was able to play on.
Unless you’ve just used completely the wrong word?

----
That's how you interpret it to be fair. It can mean that the ref is more likely to send him off if the injury is serious, which is a fact in football and in fact goes without saying. Whether the ref would have been right to do so is another debate.

If you describe an action as ‘reasonable’ it means you think it’s the right action. You’ve clearly used it out of context. If you’d have said in the first place ‘he’d have probably sent him off if he was seriously injured’ then it would have been obvious what you meant. They’re completely contradictory statements.
If you describe an action as ‘reasonable’ it means you think it’s the right action
------
If Richarlison had been seriously injured and a red card produced it would have been a reasonable decision in my book. There's no right or wrong in some situations, its just opinion. You're being too strict.

That’s exactly my original point to which you said you didn’t mean it like that and now you’ve just said it?? To my knowledge there is nothing that says that the punishment depends on the severity of the injury. It’s the challenge that’s punished, not the result.

Watching Everton game and Richarlison was down in the first minute and needed the physios on the pitch after a very similar tackle to Elliot's. Burnley player booked and if Richarlison had been seriously injured it could have reasonably been red.

Where’s everyone getting this getting sent off depending on the severity of the injury from? I’ve not heard it mentioned til yesterday and now it seems to be a rule. Or is it just been made up on here?

That's not what I said but even then, I think it's common knowledge that refs react to the severity of injury. Whether that's right or not is another debate.

Well no, the fact that you said ‘could reasonably been red’ can only be interpreted as if he’d been seriously injured then the ref would have been right to send him off as opposed to the yellow given because he was able to play on.
Unless you’ve just used completely the wrong word?

That's how you interpret it to be fair. It can mean that the ref is more likely to send him off if the injury is serious, which is a fact in football and in fact goes without saying. Whether the ref would have been right to do so is another debate.

If you describe an action as ‘reasonable’ it means you think it’s the right action. You’ve clearly used it out of context. If you’d have said in the first place ‘he’d have probably sent him off if he was seriously injured’ then it would have been obvious what you meant. They’re completely contradictory statements.

I didn't say I didn't mean it like that. I said that what you said isn't what I said, there's a difference.
