Just because that happened at Spurs doesn't mean it will happen at Liverpool.

Spurs weren't in the top 4 with Bale either for a start, so only had the EL to attract players which influences the quality you can attract.

They also apparently just bought players with little thought about fitting them into a team.

We won't do that.

It doesn't mean it will all go swimmingly for us but there is no reason to think we will do a Spurs either.

That said, Spurs decline was greatly exaggerated because of some high profile defeats. They were actually very close to the team they were with Bale.

If we get close to last seasons team without Suarez then we will comfortably finish in the top 4.

Dalglish 100mill is another example of buying too many players at once, we need to continue out evolution, not start a revoloution!

We have already spent some of the Suarez money on Lallana. We might have a transfer window where we break even with other players also being offloaded like Borini.

I expect Coutinho & Sterling to soften the blow of Suarez.

Hopefully Coutinho has been working on his shooting!

We won't have gone up to £25m for him without knowing big money was coming in for Suarez.

From the way the events have turned out, it would appear that the Suarez to Barcelona move was planned way before the World Cup.

Hopefully this means we have some sort of plan for when he does leave.

TV deals went up...every club has money.

I will be surprised if we spend more then we sell. Remember we are likely to sell Borini, Suso and maybe even a CB that isn't Kolo. Not sure we will get much for Aspas either.

Remember we have been making losses.

Selling Suarez offsets these nicely.

We will spend some money but it's not going to be crazy just because of the TV deal and Suarez cash.

Lallana will likely be our biggest single purchase.

We might sign another 1 or 2 £20m players.
