Trent on the right side of a midfield three would be great, I'd actually prefer we signed a quality right back than trying for Bellingham with Trent taking that position.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe this is the plan and thus our reluctance to sign in midfield but even then, if TAA went to midfield we'd still need another midfielder IMO. Keita and Ox made of glass and on their way out(thank goodness). Thiago also made of glass. Milner on way out and Hendo getting on a bit, Fab too.
Adding Bellingham and TAA to midfield wouldn't be a bad move
But I suspect Klopp will always see TAA as a right back.

What a result boys! So glad to see Salah back to form
Did Sky show what happened after Bernardo tried to bring down Salah? Looks like he backs towards him and either kicks-out or tries to elbow Salah, but I've only seen grainy footage on Twitter.
If the ref missed it, technically this can be reviewed after the game right? It won't be, just curious

He is so weak that Salah did not even feel it
Exactly
Might be an insult to Salah to complain about ut
Just seen City have come out and said Klopp's pre-game comments about finances helped stoke the fan issues, and some even believed his comments were xenophobic
Just saw that as well
They just can't take a loss against us

Klopp masterclass before the game
Morning all. How's the heads today then?
Gotta laugh at all the pundits who a few months ago were saying 'there isn't enough hatred between these two sides' after KDB (I think?) said he's mates with Virgil because their kids go to the same school.
Was also funny seeing Pep, Bernardo, and Micah Richards complaining about ref decisions and VAR being consistent when they literally won the league last season due to those inconsistencies.
I don't mind Richards as a pundit as I think he brings something different to the usual boring Shearer/Keown etc opinions. But I do find his overt love for City and the team they built a bit weird given that their millions essentially forced him out of the club as he just wasn't up to the new standards. Admittedly injuries played their part but I'd be pretty bitter about being forced out of my boyhood club by a load of nouveau riche shiny toys.
Although I just checked the stats and he made 29 appearances in the league for their first title winning side so I guess it's more understandable now.
Michah Richards was absolute quality until his injury.
Youngest defender to ever be capped for England I think.

Agreed
Thought he always had injury problems...even when he was breaking through
He got a banger of a knee injury he turned about 20 I think. He says himself he could have taken a lot better care of himself while out of action.
Apparently he went from £500 pw, to £5k per week to £50k a week in the space of a year at 18 or something.
But he had everything and was a bit of a monster when on it.
Not denying the talent but maybe I'm remembering it incorrectly. Just always remember him being injury-prone...even when breaking through at Man City
So is Jota out then?
If we lose one more then we will struggle..
Also what do people think of the new formation?
I think its solved a lot of issues.
Hard to say because we won't play many teams that will come to Anfield and try to dominate the ball like City
A great result and performance but we best be facking up for it vs West Ham now.
Other than Spurs away I reckon we win every game up to the world cup.
Strange, I don't recall Richards being seen as that highly rated when he broke through. A physical beast and showing a lot of promise but I guess 15 years has taken its toll on my memory.
