I seriously doubt anything aside from maybe a settlement or small fine comes from the City charges.

Why? (seeing as there is absolutely no precedent for that leniency).

We've seen everything from reduced squad sizes to points deductions.

Unless it's stripping of titles then it's a crime worth doing. The punishment has to be huge or it's a waste of time. They can deduct 30 points next season and City would happily take that, no doubt they'd still end up qualifying for the Europa League or something then normal service will resume. It has to be retroactive striping of titles.
