Klopp on Carvalho: "No player impressed me more than him honestly. His work ethic will give him a fantastic career."

What you reckon we get for him? surely a profit on the 8mill or w.e it was we paid but how much?

posted on 26/5/23

£5 million
The Athletic revealed earlier this year that Liverpool had agreed a deal to bring him to Anfield this summer for £5 million plus add-ons. Carvalho will officially join Liverpool on July 1 for a fee of £5 million, with a further £2.7 million in add-ons and a 20 per cent sell-on clause.

Send him on a good loan to a PL team or Germany for example and see if he excels. We will make 2-3 on the loan fee and if he turns out to be a player then we keep or make money out of him.

I think he could be a very good player. Very technical.

Yeah bye Fred. My son is eight now and been a gift. After three months he slept from 7 to 7. He still decides he's going to bed himself and goes to sleep. No issues.

My daughter is a year and a half. Started off for a month in intensive care and our sleep has not improved since. Few times a week she even wakes up at 3am shouting "up!". She's wide awake ready to play. Other times she's tossing and turning or crying at 3am. Of course my son sleeps through this all oblivious to it.

People told me girls are worse, I have now experienced it. Never, EVER again.

My baby girl is a year and a half too. She sleeps through the night and wakes up after I've left for work most of the time. Then she makes her mum to call me at 11 and we blabber out as much of a conversation as possible. She also naps in the afternoons.

I’ve sort of accepted that whatever happens happens, I’m pretty good with limited sleep and (wouldn’t admit this to the wife) but I travel about once a month so can catch up on sleep in hotel rooms

Exactly, bit like the Haaland / Núñez comparison. Not financially similar whatsoever.

Plus Jude was never joining us so what he cost means incredibly little.

We may be able to pick him up on loan in a year.

Haaland cost 50m odd because of a release clause. If there’s a release clause in Bellingham’s contract then the media haven’t got hold of it because it’s not been reported (to the best of my knowledge).

I’d be surprised if JB was 89m, really surprised. Unless are add ons are ludicrously simple to trigger to the point where it just defers a huge chunk of cash.

I was onboard with the idea that we can’t spank 130m on a player when we have such a large rebuild. Significantly less onboard with the idea of refusing to spend 90m and then spending slightly less on Mac Allister. Doesn’t make sense. Until confirmed I’m thinking the fee is BS.

It’s either completely made up or full of hidden payments.

Either way, I can’t believe we’re saying that 89m is seen as a ‘bargain’ not to be missed. It really is out of control. Surely it’s a house of cards waiting to crash?

Seems like a normal fee to me. It's not like Bellingham is world class, at least not yet. It would be the second highest transfer in Bundesliga history, behind the Dembele transfer when Barca were desperate having just lost Neymar.
