Schmadtke is a miracle worker, he’s actually united the tranny thread. Never been seen before!

Liverpool among a number of leading clubs who have long-term admiration for Aurelien Tchouameni but Real Madrid see 23yo France int’l as key player & would not consider his departure, while midfielder has no interest in leaving #RMFC @TheAthleticFC #LFC
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lmao why are we being put through this humiliation have negotiators thought about asking players if they are interested first before going public.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nobody went public on wanting Tchouameni, calm down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, it's just some media report. Titty slitting his wrists harder than usual.

Why don't you hijack West Ham's bid for McTominay?

I suspect Ward was let go because he wasn't up to it. He didn't exactly pull up and trees either.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
did he actually get the same amount of power as edwards? rumours at the time of leaving is that he didnt and thats why he handed in his notice
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He did a bang average job either way.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Recruitment under him was a mixed bag. He got us Diaz, Gakpo and Mac Allister, but last summer was a really poor summer for us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He didn't get Mac Allister. Not sure about Gakpo too.

He did the ground work to convince Mac of the Liverpool project. Jorg just did the impossible task of bidding the release clause.

I feel like this is entirely made up information

Pretty sure Ward has effectively been on gardening leave for a long while (since the end of last summer when he too could barely managed to close a fvcking door let alone a multi million pound deal).

FSG can't do anything right. We finally bid and challenge for the most expensive players. I thought some people would be happy.

He did do the ground work for Mac to be fair to him, most journos highlighted his importance in that deal

There's more players with release clauses out there, why don't we just go for one of those

Pretty sure most have recognised that and are blaming Schmadtke but it's them who appointed him so...

They used to be exceptionally good at their football white collar appointments but it's not been great twice in a row now.

So Olise to Chelsea is actually happening, as is Lavia…

WTAF how can this be allowed that puts them at over a billion euros spent?!

posted on 14/8/23

I don't think we can blame them too much on those two decisions to be fair.

Ward was Edwards' number 2 so made complete sense to promote him, and then hiring someone presumably recommended by Klopp on a short term basis is again sound reasoning in theory.

The far bigger issue for me is why we never had a permanent Sporting Director already lined up when we knew Ward was leaving 6+ months ago.

because ffp punishes after the fact, they could spend another 400mil if they wanted to

They've got to be close to a transfer ban, surely

saw some tweets saying by june/july 2024 they need 250mil, that was prior to all these new signings though

They probably know that they are, so they’re stocking up in preparation. Which in itself makes a complete mockery of the system.

I just don't understand how it's possible.

I know they've got good money for a load of crap this summer but that lot only comes to £250m maximum. Caicedo, Lavia and Olise deals takes them well over a billion spent in the last 2 and a a half seasons, so £750m net.

They've already posted losses of £120m and £153m in the last two financial years and only a certain chunk of that can be offset due to Covid.

It just seems like blatant cheating to me.
