Can’t say I blame Lavia at all for that decision I think we’ve treated him pretty poorly. Penny pinching with Saints and then submitting a record bid for Caicedo then getting rejected and finally paying the Lavia asking price can’t make a player feel great

Chelsea penny pinched with Caicedo for 3 months too.

It reminds me a little of the season when Arsenal did fvck all in the market then got smacked about 8-2 by United and suddenly signed 3 or 4 players.

The fans had been crying out for signings all summer. Hopefully we don’t get smacked 8-2 for the club to take action…. Newcastle game could be messy without a dm though.

All summer we thought Caicedo was going to Chelsea and our bid has lost out, but it's also cost Chelsea upwards of 40m than what they'd have spent I'd say.
