The last time he said he hadn’t had an offer was back in August I think, and soon after the negotiations apparently started. Same with VVD, who has literally said nothing for months.

That’s not true to be fair, he said after the game vs Saints that he hadn’t received an offer, that was about a month ago.

Fair one, but even a month is a long time in this case. Salah’s playing is own game here too, clearly trying to force the clubs hand. I don’t blame him, but if people are going to second guess the club, then we can’t take everything Salah is saying at face value.

After Spurs game he said there is no update i.e no update from his previous statement which he gave to the media.

VVD has already said that he will decide in summer. Probably fed up of being disrespected.

So who is a good Trent replacement then?

Salah gave a very quick "no" after being asked if there was any update after Spurs and then walked off. Made me think that there may have been progress and he was just keeping it quiet. VVD has said there's no deadline which suggests he has no interest in speaking to other clubs next month. It's annoying but I can't see it not being sorted for both of them.

We should be looking to get both Kimmich and Davies on frees when they leave Bayern in the summer I think.

Kimmich will be 30 but we are probably just looking for a stopgap in that position until Bradley is ready to fully claim it. I’m not sure he’s quite there yet but you’d hope he will be in 1-2 years. Can obviously cover us in midfield too, think it would be a smart signing.

Davies to compete with and replace Robbo is obviously a no brainer too.

Davies sounds Madrid bound as well.

At the moment they are not seeing any offers from the club so it's still up in the air. In a couple of days they will be offered generational wealth to sign for other clubs and you have to factor is what if they get a ACL injury. All that money goes into flames. We have 3 leading players with no contract protection and they could be Matip'd.
