You didn't even mention his positioning and movement. His defensive work. His improved passing and technique
His ability to adapt to different roles in the team.
Hands down our best epl player after Gerrard.

It'd be brilliant if we got Salah on an extension. What he brings to our all round play is goals/assists and lots of them.

"Surely that’s bad news? I’m just not sure what he brings to the overall play anymore. He’s more of a hindrance than an asset."
I'm utterly amazed that someone who watches Liverpool every week could have this opinion.

Ok so here’s my take on the Salah situation and tbh looking into the stats I don’t believe it necessarily holds up but this was my thought process.
When I mention overall gameplay what I’m referring to is build up play. Overall gameplay a poor descriptor of what I mean.
Salah is clearly our most important player perhaps aside from Alisson and he is vital to this team’s success or failure.
But back in the the original seasons with Mane Firmino and Salah, where we had a workmanlike midfield, Mane, Firmino, Salah and the fullbacks were by far the most important players in our build up play. The midfield wasn’t a big part of it.
However today our midfield is far more technical and far more important in chance creation and build up play than it was before. We play more of a possession driven style of play than we used to, which tends to run through midfield which is why we’ve gone from the workmanlike Hendo, Gini, Fab to Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Gravenberch etc.
Salah is vital in terms of adding the finishing touches to moves, hence he gets endless assists and goals but if you watch those goals and assists the majority of them are two or three touches. The build up to that chance tends to come from elsewhere in the team.
I’m not saying he’s not a great player, I think he will surpass Gerrard before he leaves but I’m saying his role has changed within the side and he’s less involved in build up play than he used to be.
In terms of selling Salah, we aren’t the type of club that can keep letting big money players leave for free. I honestly wasn’t expecting Salah to sign a new contract and eventually angle for a move to Saudi on a free, so if we were offered £200m early in the window to replace h then it seemed like the smarter move.
If he’s gunning for a new contract no fvcking way would I sell him!
Why would you want him involved in build-up play in the first place?

Who says I do?
His numbers are silly and I actually feel like he has picked up this year compared to the last 2 but the main thing I've noticed is that he rarely cuts in and scores those curlers into the far post like he used to and he quite regularly loses the ball with a bad touch under little pressure. But it's fair to say his link up play and passing has improved at the same time so he's just a bit of a different player these days. If mbappe was genuinely available then I'd happily see Salah go but don't think there's anyone else in world football who would make me say that so we have to keep him for at least one more season.
Can’t sell Mo especially when he’ll be partnering mbpappe next season
