Amrabat is absolute shiite. I did say at the time you couldn't judge him on that world cup purple patch.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Amrabat would have been a disaster clusterfack in the middle of our pitch
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The guy is so heavy and immobile he even makes last season's Fabinho look fleet footed in comparison.

I knew little about him too but I worried he wouldn't adjust after his slow start, especially given he was a little older moving to the prem

So disappointing we aren't interested in Palhinha. It would be a bit of a short term signing I admit but if we signed him in January I'd firmly believe we would go onto win the league. Absolutely exceptional footballer. Only Rodri is better in that position and not by much.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree tbh. I watched him against us and Arsenal and he was the best player on the pitch imo. 34 is the new 30 too. I thought we’d go for Andre but that looks to have died off and I’m now thinking we won’t do any business in Jan.

Maybe that’s cos of Endo’s form but if Andre is that good then we should go get him I feel. Thiago will be gone, there’s space in the squad and he’s a good age.

I’d like us to get a LCB too but it’s likely the same as above but with Gomez.

It’s so hard to predict our transfers though.

As funny as the Everton red card is, that’s another absolute farce of a decision. VAR has to go.

VAR got it spot on following the rules. Another decision theyre getting blamed for when its not the issue. Ref should have sent him off by the letter of the law so its on him, VAR did its job.

Get theres no intent or much contact/force but his stoods are up and legs high middle of the shin? Thats endangering an opponent. Get what hes trying to do but in doing it, going to ground with stoods up like that and that high could end worse than it did.

Either accept it and make sure your stoods are down and legs low or look at the rules again and allow players to risk injury to opponents so long as theirs no intent or w.e and suck it up when it really injures someone and theres no punishment for it.

Personally im fine with either so long as its the same for everyone and everyone knows and accepts it. So in this case im fine with it. Having said that you see Kovacic getting away with not 1 but 2 similar or worse challenges vs Arsenal in the same game lol

I don't even think it would be that short term as I saw someone point out on Twitter that despite being 28, his minutes played is significantly lower than your typical 28 year old so in theory he should have a good 5/6 years still left in the tank.

He's only played 22k minutes in his entire career, Fabinho by comparison is 30 and has played 40k!

There is always an example of City getting away with something their rivals have been punished with. Kovacic staying on in that game was a joke

Jurgen Klopp confirms a hamstring injury for Dominik Szoboszlai. Will miss Arsenal and the Fulham first leg but could be back after that.
---
Doesn't sound too serious but with Endo gone we're looking a little light in midfield for a couple of games.

Good really do with Thiago coming back from the dead.

Dom has been pretty average from a attacking point of view but we will miss his defensive work. We don't really have a RMF other than Elliott who won't give the defensive work. The rest prefer the left.

Fully agree with this. He is someone who will still be great at what he does at 32. We have Endo performing at 30 in a new country and club.

He must have a release clause with him signing a new deal last summer. When Jorge getting his 1 month contract?

Palhinha makes perfect sense to me as a signing. It’s tempting to think that not being interested in a ready made and EPL tested DCM indicates that Klopp doesn’t necessarily want to play with a specialist in that role and prefers a trio of 8’s in there rather than a 6 and couple of 8’s.

Truth is there could be any number of reasons why Klopp isn’t interested. Might be temperament, attitude, personal life (ie looking after himself). There could be any number of reasons.

Fred has been told this a million times. He'll be here next week saying the same thing.

i think people dont appreciate or acknowledge the little stuff he does from an offensive pov. For example in our first goal vs Newcastle when Darwin laid the ball off wonderfully t o him, his gut bursting run to over the opion dragging defenders away open up space for Diaz to find Nunez. Stuff like that.

they accepted a big of around 50m from Bayern for him in the summer, it fell through as it wasnt completed in time?

Ofc they'll be even more reluctant to sell him half way into the season? But price wise idk, he seemed to force them to accept Bayerns bid, Mitrovic got his way. Maybe theres a player they want from us we could offer as a sweetender, Carvalho maybe?

Not enough to pay Mbappe 3-4 times what we pay Salah.
