His numbers are silly and I actually feel like he has picked up this year compared to the last 2 but the main thing I've noticed is that he rarely cuts in and scores those curlers into the far post like he used to and he quite regularly loses the ball with a bad touch under little pressure. But it's fair to say his link up play and passing has improved at the same time so he's just a bit of a different player these days. If mbappe was genuinely available then I'd happily see Salah go but don't think there's anyone else in world football who would make me say that so we have to keep him for at least one more season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If he’s going to sign a new contract then I wouldn’t sell him even for Mbappe.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wee not gonna sign Mbappe. And if we did it would be a travesty if he didn't play at least one season with Salah.

Then I am very glad you aren't part of our transfer committee. The only player in world football a team shouldn't sell in favour of mbappe is haaland. The age difference between the 2 make it an obvious choice (apart from the fact it isn't an available choice)

Bit wary of the ego that comes with Mbappe but Klopp clearly loves him and you'd think he would have reputation to be able to manage him and not be overawed like some managers probably are

Incredible footballer but not sure that kind of ego in a dressing room is what this club is all about, nor a Klopp team.

He’s more of our game play than he used to be imo but fact is he has always got the most assists from our front three since he signed.

He job (as part of the game play) is to score and make goals and he does it more than anyone else in the league.

Selling him to buy worse players is a horrendous idea.

Mbappe rumours revving up again.

Real rarely, if ever, go back so I don’t think it’s set in stone he goes there. I wonder where he will go though.

There’s hardly any realistic options for him tbf. Would City go for him and have him in the same team as Haaland? Maybe, but not sure Pep would want that. Chelsea would be mad enough to try but doubt he’d go there. United might want to make a statement signing through Jim, but it’s a tough job to persuade Mbappe is imagine. We’re probably priced out of any deal, unless the owners can be persuaded of the commercial benefits, but just can’t see him at our club.

Comes back to Madrid for me. They could well be using waiting tactics and get him on a relatively cut price contract when he realises how few options he has.

Not really. I remember you banging on about Amrabat though.

Apparently Mbappe earns nearly £900k a week at PSG. I just don't see us paying enough to be competitive for him, even on a free transfer.

His (apparent) ego would also be a concern, as would his habit of running down his contract to get moves - no guarantee of any resale value.

Just not the kind of signing I can see us making. Think it'll either be RM or stay with PSG.

I think if he leaves PSG he’ll take a pay cut if he stays in Europe.

He was never high on my list but under Klopp he would have been much better than how he's been at United.

Pauliniha was my number 1 choice in the summer. Was also interested in Ugarte and Kone, then moved onto those that ended up at Chelsea. Amrabat was a if all fails choice.

Amrabat is absolute shiite. I did say at the time you couldn't judge him on that world cup purple patch.

So disappointing we aren't interested in Palhinha. It would be a bit of a short term signing I admit but if we signed him in January I'd firmly believe we would go onto win the league. Absolutely exceptional footballer. Only Rodri is better in that position and not by much.

I didn't know enough about him to be humbled in my opinion! Actually, I knew absolutely nothing about him.

After a slow start however, the last month has been a very welcome surprise.
