Gakpo not included due to personal reasons apparently

AFCON always seems to disrupt his season and bring him back down to mere mortal levels.

Was on for 30 PL goals a season both this year and 2021 before the tournament.

Yep, it’s kinda irksome when it’s held Ngl. I mentally the pressure on him during the tournament must be insane during the tournament.

I do find the standards that Salah is held to by some on here crazy tbh. He’s also pretty much always fit and available, god knows what pelters he’d be getting if he had the temerity to pick up a few injuries.

Danns in the bench then I’m guessing. What a moment it would be for him if he can knock one in against the bitters.

Could be a slog tonight and a win all but guarantees their safety

1-0 will do as we’re not matching arsenal’s GD at this stage anyway

We’ve not had a absolutely smash a team to pieces, heavy metal, counter press juggernaut, take all our chances, games done by half-time Klopp master class in forever.

I’d like one of those please.

Was this your sales pitch at your interview for the Liverpool job?

It would have been quite funny to apply actually. Next time the job comes up maybe, which I hope is in another 9 years time.

Robbing I know you’re a big Darwin fan and don’t rate Gakpo. I’m really curious as to what makes you think Darwin could be so good.

He’s missed 45 big chances since joining the PL (more after tonight). Has he started to dampen your expectations at all?

Genuine question not trying to be a wum.

Well, that was dire. Team looks out of ideas, so does Klopp. But I think we'd have all taken third place and a cup at the start of the season given what happened last year.

Klopp has done his job and rebuilt the squad and will leave a legend. Shame he couldn't bow out on a fairytale but that's football. Well played Everton, they just wanted it more tonight. Although they did fall over like sacks of potatoes at every opportunity, but that's what Dyche teams do.

The biggest problem of this team is defending. The amount of chances we gift the opposition is laughable. You can't win the league with defending like that.

We need to address the DM position with a tall player who can tackle and win second balls. A dreadful team like Everton just won all the headers and second balls in the first half.

Trent had a defensive shocker tonight as well. Local lad ducking out of aerial challenges in the derby FFS.

pathetic from him yh he should be on dcl either but when hes put on him he has to fight and atleast be close and block and pressure etc, the guy was nowhere.

posted on 24/4/24

him ducking out the header for the first goal was absolutely pathetic too. you could see he didnt wanna get clattered so just did a half arrsed jump under the ball instead.

Other than Diaz everyone else was pathetic. Some worse than others but these clowns gave up today.

Players have completely bottled it. Badly let the manager down recent weeks, and now also badly let the fans down tonight in the game that means most.

New manager needs to be ruthless this summer. There are players out there that aren’t the required quality.

Ahwell guess i have the added bonus of expecting exactly what we got. Feel sorry for people like Term, prob thought we'd smash em.

He whiffed that header on the edge of the box for the first goal too. Looked like he just didn't fancy it tonight which is unacceptable really.

Not surprised at the result though, the team has looked goosed for at least 3 weeks now and as sad as it is to say it, it's probably the right time for Klopp to go. Something's not right in the mentality of the team and fresh ideas are needed.

Shooting down realistic pessimism with his blind optimism and all that.

Not sure anybody expected us not to turn up against Everton, we’re in poor form but thought after Fulham and considering the opposition I thought we’d at least try.

I stand by what I said the other day. This is all softening the blow of Klopp leaving. Not his fault but it's just hit a wall now and feels like change is needed.

As talented as he is he definitely has a cowardly streak. In the first ten minutes he blocked a cross but turned his back when jumping, so the ball didn't hurt him.

Nunez tonight was horrific. In fact, only Diaz for me showed some fight. Not good enough all over the pitch.

I'd give some of the kids a chance in the next four games. Nunez, Salah, Jones, Szlob and Konate should all be benched with extreme prejudice

posted on 24/4/24

I don't get what's happened to Konate the past few weeks.

He was a collosus all season but don't even think he won a header tonight.

I'd start Quansah from here on out.

Think Klopps too close to them and they get away with sheit he wouldnt stand for if they werent his players and so close. And hes lost Hendo and Milner to do it for him.

Try to avoid singling players out when the all round team performance is so poor, but you’re right those players you’ve listed have been horrific in recent weeks.
