Here’s a list of players that we can genuinely say have been reliable fitness wise under Klopp over the last 9 years.
VVD
Trent
Salah
Wij
Firmino
Mane
And that’s honestly about it. I mean even our keeper gets muscles injuries
Now I’d welcome a decrease in injuries, but I also suspect it’ll lead to a decrease in performance. We’ll see though.

Yeah there’s been a massive outflow of information regarding his player preparation and recovery methods.
Very meticulous approach tbh

Even Bobby last couple of seasons picked up a few muscle injuries
Trent does have one injury spell a season.

Some interesting stats there, about all the players. All things considered, Jota has been a monster when fit those season. Outscored people like Diaz who has over twice the number of minutes. Only 3 behind Nunez. His 4 assists only bettered by four other players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's no denying his quality, but he just can't stay fit
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Even better if you actually watch him play, he rarely offeres much in games but pops up with a goal out the blue after being invisible for most the game. Opposite with Diaz hes pants infront of goal even worse than Nunez but hes quite heavily involved usually.
Can't remember the articles but I've read the day after a game they only train within a small area so players don't have to sprint. They also monitor players' sleep schedules/patterns and look at how gut health can improve performance.
No idea if we already do that sort of stuff but would assume not if journos are making a deal out of it.
His positioning is some of the best around. He's the guy that's most often at just the right place at the right time. Also has decent feet and the way he takes his chances makes it hard for keepers to save, which makes his goals look weird IMO.

Robertson has been very reliable, the shoulder injury is the only time I can recall him being out for any length of time.
Fabinho only missed a few games here and there. Milner was always available.
We've really just has one problem position and a couple of problem players. CB partner for VVD is a problem; Matip, Gomez, Konate - none have been reliable. Going back further, Lovren was unreliable (in both senses of the word) as well.
Then we've had a couple of problem players who just couldn't stay fit. Sturridge in the early days, Lallana, Keita and Thiago. I'm really hoping Jota doesn't join that list.
In fact, you could argue that a sizeable chunk of Klopp's success was built on reliability and lack of injuries. He's never had a City'esk squad, we've just had a first 11 to match them. And it's the reliability of TAA, VVD, Robbo, Wij, Fab, Mane, Firmino and Salah that kept us competitive and won us trophies.
so nunez goal involvement every 97 mins isnt that far off jotas 92 mins Salahs 91 gakpo 151. all sheit all over diaz abysmal 250 mins. And his dad piping up he still hopes barca or real will come knocking, fml plz do.

Slot can have all that fitness planning here in the Dutch farmers league but the Premier League is just physically more demanding. I watched a few Feyenoord games in the stadium and those opponents move in slow motion and are awful. This isn't Go Ahead Eagles he will be playing against.
Our front 3 being one of the best in world and being available for about 85% of the season really helped us.

Yeah think I'd cash in on Diaz to be honest.
Brilliant player at times and always tries his best but just doesn't score or assist enough given he's our first choice LW.

Thought he’d turned a corner a bit in the New Year, looked back to his best after injury, but no goals in the past seven puts him back to where he was.
Gets a bit of a free ride compared to some.
I’d keep for now though.
Bright side is Gakpo and Grav have atleast shown glimpses recently that they have what it takes to be a success in the prem with us.
