Really though Thiago was going to be difference maker in the title race, with his control and dominance in midfield. How wrong I was.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He probably would have been useful second half of the season but we had to play him against Arsenal in quite difficult circumstances, real shame.
Replacing Gini with him could have elevated our game but availability has turned out to be the biggest difference between them, Gini was and Salah is testament to that
Not loving this briefing in the media all of a sudden but you'd think Edwards would have vetoed Thiago, and in hindsight with good reason

“Klopp has always been loyal to his squad, too loyal in some cases.
“James Milner and Roberto Firmino would have received new contracts last summer had Klopp got his way. Henderson and Fabinho were not pushed out; they forced their way out.”
[Paul Joyce, The Times]
Joyce the snake is coming out with all sorts now that Klopp is leaving
Loads of briefing all of a sudden isn't it, I guess this was always on the way after the Klopp farewell has largely been romanticised till recently
Are we happy with the Anthony Gordon link btw? I didn't register he was a left-winger tbh, thought he was more of an attacking mid
Would like Gordon very much, yeah. He can play.
Gordon without a doubt. He will get you G/A and has the dark arts which our squad needs. Yes diving..

That despite Henderson himself saying he didn't want to leave until he spoke with Klopp. Sounds like total BS to me Mr Joyce.
Scouser too, imagine him starting with Trent, Quansah, Curtis next year.
He'd cost a tonne though you'd imagine

Not a fan of these news stories but a lot of stuff was reported at the time of each respective transfer as well
Dangerous game leaking stuff to the press if that is to be believed as the source for all these stories coming out now.
If Edwards makes a few mistakes (which anybody is capable of) then the same journos won't break sweat to post a hit piece on his strategy not working, etc if it means more clicks.

Klopp literally told Henderson his game time would be more limited. Both Klopp and Henderson have said this. All probably would have got new contracts but they'd have been squad players. Although perhaps Henderson and Fabinho would have shared the DM role considering the failed bids.
They all could have done a job as squad players so not sure what the negative is here. He clearly had already began phasing them out and didn't want a whole midfield leaving then having to replace them at once.
FSGMenTV done in an interview with Klopp and are charging supporters to watch it. Fecking bunch of Tories.

Just watching Summerville and it is a big no for me. Looks very one dimensional and that's in the championship.

Switch Thiago with Gini this season? We win the league.
We’ve been calling him VVQ…partly because there’s this confident calmness to his defending but turns out he’s a similar profile to Matip
