Thoughts on Milan now who have had a poor start with a new manager. We should probably make a few changes:
----------------------------Ali
TAA-------Quansah----------VVD------Tsimikas
---------------Grav----------Endo
----------------------Jones
---Diaz--------------Nunez---------Gakpo
Changes being to freshen up and not drop players with so many games coming up. Protect injury prone players and some of the players who had a lot of international travel.

But they’ve only lost one game, so it’s not really that poor, is it you anti genius?
It’ll be a tough game going by Saturdays ‘performance’.
I like Kash’s team for it given the fixture list. Real shame we have a Prem team in the cup.
Although think Salah will start.
Still can’t believe we’ve actually lost at home against Nottingham Forest. Has that actually happened?? Just shocking really after the momentum we had built up. Bloody international breaks, hate them.
Emerson has now overtaken Alisson in having more Prem assists than Antony.
I was doing DIY all weekend so had to miss the game, but took a break to catch the last fifteen or so and immediately caught Forest scoring. So my bad, I think that was my fault
Bradley got absolutely roasted when he came on.
Bradley yes but Konate also fell asleep a little. He should have anticipated that move. Maybe he felt Bradley is a better defender than Trent.
Callum Hudson Odoi cuts inside and shoots shocker.
It’s all he does and he’s not exactly prime Robben.
It was a really disappointing goal to concede.
Also Gakpo had the chance for a tactical foul and refused to do it which lead to the goal. I say it all the time but we need to get more dirty.
I think as much as Nino got it right, Slot got it wrong tbh.
I hope he learns a lot from that.
We lack variety and pace (especially recovery pace in transition) in midfield and I feel it hurts us in games like that.

To be fair it’s game number 4 in a long transitional season, doesn’t bother me at all that we lost. Good to reset expectations to a more realistic level tbh.
I also think the game was more down to the players not turning up rather than Slot, even if Slot definitely didn’t get it right. The performances on the pitch though were terrible mostly.
In def of Slot theres nm he can do if most ur team plays like sheit. Salah was facking awful i dont think he did anything right. Jota was a ghost pretty much, Szob was almost as bad as Salah but atleast he did a few good things (the pass to salah that mo facked up). Grav had a good game, alisson didnt do anything wrong i dont think Virgil did either. But the rest were pretty poor.
what disappoints me most in these games, is we know what theyre doing yet we ask so little questions of them. we barely got bodies in the box and barely put balls in. few times we did we actually looked like scoring. Macallister to jota outside of the boot cross for example. Teams can set up like forest do its np if you ask questions of their def and make them def chances will come they will make mistakes... With the ability on the ball we have we should be peppering their box and winning corner after corner etc and pinning them in.
get that first goal and they can sit back all they want.
It was a ugly low block. Klopp's solution used to be to go to 4-2-4 when up against one which worked most times while Slot went for like for like subs with his first few changes and we got worse.
I think if you'd asked the majority of us before this season, we all would have expected a few 'welcome to the premier league' moments for Slot. Well, yesterday was one.
Teams will sit in against us. They will try and suffocate our more creative players and, more often then not, they will try to hurt us on the break with wide players.
I didn't get to see the game but from the highlights the worry for me would be just how effective Forest were in their game plan. This didn't look to me to be a copy of the games we've seen in the past whereby we miss a truck-load of chances and the opposition sucker punches us. It looked like, in the second half in particular, we created very little.
I guess that's the question Slot has to answer. What does his team do when we have the possession and control that he wants and the opposition doesn't care because we're not hurting them.

Fair, but if you can’t win, don’t lose, and I felt the dubs completely played into Forest’s hands and ultimately cost us the game.
Huge game Tuesday now, cos Bournemouth won’t be easy.
