could slot have freshened it up, we had some players not on int duty like nunez? felt jota was poor before int and even when he scores hes rarely having a good game anyway. i get wanting the same 11 as it won 3 in a row but after a break like that prob not a wise idea.

Just back from the Irish pub ( needed a couple extra after that one), absolutely shocking result really if we are being honest.

This attack will have quite a few matches when it is blunt, unfortunately we saw it quite a few times at the back end of last season too. Couple that with us being pretty much guaranteed to give away a silly goal at the other end when frustration takes over, then we will have losses like today. I can’t say I’m that surprised as I did think a result like today was around the corner

It was why I was disappointed to not see Chiesa on the bench as he will give us something different- no idea why he wasn’t ready for this game for at least a few minutes, but whatever.

One loss is all it is and it has been a promising start to the Slot era, so I won’t be overreacting but it’s a really shiitt way to start an important period at the same time. Also disappointing for me personally with us going into the Milan game I’m going to on a real downer a loss, but c’est la vie.

Got to bounce back quickly with a better performance on Tuesday. Think today should act as a reality check for those who were talking about title challenges etc, transition season for 3rd plus hopefully do some stuff in the cups is realistic.

Can always rely on Everton to cheer us up too

We always play crap after any type of break

Hopefully a few things Slot has learnt

- we are abject after international break. Some usual suspects on that
- Anfield is a library and whether it's not in his nature or not he does need to tell them it's not acceptable. Klopp had to remind them many times
- taking off 2 forwards and not having the option to play 4 in a emergency is something he needs to avoid.

Does anybody know why Chiesa didn’t make the bench?

I'm thinking having 3 forward in a 8 man subs bench is a overkill.

Yeah I would have dropped either Gomez or Quansah
We already had Bradley and Tsimikas
Endo and Jones were needed

Let's see cos Salah was very bad and he needed an option to take him off.

Seen quite a lot of criticism on twitter alike etc of the fans being quiet today.. Funny how it’s the ones that never go to games that like to criticise the most.

If the team is playing as crap as they did in the second half, can you blame them for not making much noise. I really can’t personally. I feel they tried to get them going but the players gave nothing back today.

I actually thought it was alright yesterday. It wasn’t that massive roar we sometimes get when we really ramp the pressure up, but then we didn’t actually ramp the pressure up at any time, did we?

Salah was really poor yesterday, a real off day. Bloody captained him instead of Haaland too.

Think we will have three forwards on the bench usually. Obviously Elliott is out, who could have been a great option yesterday. But if Chiesa isn’t match fit then he shouldn’t even be on the bench. What if he comes in and gets injured because he isn’t fit? Some of you on here would crucify Slot for that.

I’m not getting why Dom gets to start every week.

Apart from running around a lot he does Fack all.

His passing is rubbish, he doesn’t create, and he doesn’t score.
