Hate to bring it back to wages but isn't he already on 240k (euros) a week? Bryan Mbeumo is on 40k a week. That's who we will chase.

Yeah its too much ontop of the monstrous fee they'd want. Itd pile huge pressure too esp if Salah leaves as he'd be seen as a replacement of sorts for the irreplaceable, esp cause fee and wage etc if we did go all out. 23, a goal involvement every 157 mins, its good not that good for a real side? mo's is every 102 mins and hes played a lot more games... Think we'd play it a lot safer than someone like Rodrygo.

Can we get him to run his contract down to nothing and sign him for free..

I'd be happy with Mbeumo but ideally, would prefer Salah extending

Depends what Rodrygo wants. If he's happy to contribute at RM, get plenty of minutes but likely be on the bench when it comes to the big games then it'll be very difficult to get him.

If he wants the opportunity to be a star of a team and, arguably, fulfil his potential, then I suspect he'll have to leave. If he does come to that conclusion then we're one of a handful of teams that would be appealing I'd have thought.

In fairness, anybody is going to have a torrid time trying to replace Salah. Rodrygo is probably the most talented option we could get to replace him, and surely more talent will be the better replacement?

I think it’s Chiesa anyway

We scouted him loads last year apparently (his contract was due to end 2025 but he re-signed to 2028) and wanted to buy him when Real did. He’s been a target for years.

Also, Real Madrid wage bill has become enormous. You could argue Modric finishing will help with that but they’re nailed on to get Davies and there’s a chance Trent too, it only going to get bigger.

So?

It’s Real Madrid.

I’m not sure what that’s supposed to mean

They'll get bailed out by the government like they always have

Not fact checked but saw this on Terms favourite platform

"Tsimikas being the only senior Liverpool player to have his contract extended in like the last 2 years is very funny. "

Are we talking about when they sold their training ground 25 years ago? This Government bailing them out thing is a bit of a fallacy.

That’s true actually. It is quite funny.

Squad management has been an absolute shiitshow from the club since 2019 tbh

I have my theories by piecing together the fragments of info we've received via the trusted journos

Someone at the club has been doing even less work than Adrian the last couple of years.

So sick of hearing this argument.

Even Adrian left us

On the CB front I saw a journo point out that Konate only has 2 years left as well.

Hughes is going to be one busy boy in the next 12 months.

I’ll tell you what else is funny… the difference between Ten Hag and Slot.

Slots a bit spikey, but he gets away with it. Affable guy for sure but quietly strong I feel.

EtH’s pressers are becoming comedy gold. Spikes as fvck, borderline rude, has was saying his dream is to be director at Twente. I just find that bizarre.

Apparently he’s been told to lay of the players a bit too. I saw him described as being ‘too Dutch’

So impressed with Slot so far though, tactics, pressers, squad management… it’s all going well, even the injuries!

Apparently a big factor with Slot was his communication skills not just with the media but with players on the training pitch as well

Yeah its almost impossible really, but if we sign someone for a huge fee huge wages it just adds extra pressure on them being that. Where as if we wentt for mbeuemo or whoever 80-100k a week 30-50m naturally less expectation.

30-50m we like that range for forward signings. mane salah bobby gakpo diaz jota etc. Have to think theyd want over double that for rodrygo.

mbuemo has a goal involvement every 170 not far off rodrygo, few years older ofc but a lesser team but prem exp and a lower fee/wage. Kfartsmella from nappylee would be a bigger fee, Wirtz too but hes more versatile as an am that can play across the front line and upfront. Wirtz has a goal involvement every 120, at 21 is impressive. 96 goals and assists in essentially 125 games worth of 90 minutes.

I think those 2 are too high profile for us too and would be out of our preferred price bracket.

Trent Alexander-Arnold: “I said to Arne Slot that I would like to be the defender that no one wants to come up against in Europe”. “It is really refreshing to have a manager who will help and guide and teach me how to be better”.

hmm
