prob get away witth having 2/3 Matips or w.e but 7/8 out of a 23 man squad, playing the games we do? nah.
We have 5 players injured...granted it's annoying Alisson and Jota aren't available but it's really not that bad

When you have 2 keepers on the bench against Arsenal, it is not a good sign.
we saw what happened last year how we dropped off, making do fighting hard in the cups with kids and the handful of first teamers who remain fit every game like virgil.
By the time the players came back it took them ages to get match sharp etc and the players who covered playing every game burnt out.
Maybe the change in style will help over the course of the season. But i think Slot, after putting a brave face on it is slowly starting to realise and get a grasp one what Klopp was saying for years.
The arsenal fans are still whining
What an insane disappointment Chiesa is, looks like he will be another perma-crock. The injury prone nature of our players is incredibly frustrating and we run quite a light squad. Need more depth to realistically compete in four competitions and not burn out like we have been known to.
Chiesa was a gamble, we all knew that. But he signed 2 months ago today. 2 months. Probably worth giving me a little bit more time!
He played 70 games for Juve over the last 2 seasons so he's not exactly an Ox or Keita.
me?! I mean him.
For clarity, I'm not Chiesa.
We have at least as big a squad as most teams with quality backup. Taking into account injuries I would start below:-
Kelleher
Bradley, Quansah, Gomez, Tsimikas
Endo, Jones
Szoboszlai
Salah, Nunez, Gakpo
Elliott, Jota, Chiesa being available would have meant being able to completely change the XI with a quality backup XI. Unfortunately we loaned top youth players out who could have come in also, like Bajcetic and Doak, so let's hope they come back better for it.

Yeah people being just a tad harsh.
I keep thinking you guys are rotating for the league match and completely forget there's a league cup match tomorrow
In terms of squad space we basically have space for one player with Marmadashvilli coming in next season which you'd think would be a number 6 unless Bajcetic smashes his loan. Kelleher may then leave which would open up another place, if we wanted to use a youth player as third choice keeper.
So don't expect to see many signings in January to fix this perceived weak squad depth, unless we have sales.
You forgot to add Van Dijk, Salah and Trent to the departures list
I saw online Doak is doing well on loan, Koumas is smashing it at Stoke too. Bajcetic at Salzburg I saw a highlights reel and he was looking decent
Jota and Elliott not back until after the internationals so they'll miss the two Brighton games, Leverkusen and Villa. Big shame that.
Bradley is back for tomorrow night though, so hopefully a chance to rest Trent.

Yeah, heard that both wingers are doing really well. Doak getting rave reviews at Boro and he looks a cut above the Championship already.
Kaide Gordon not really doing much at Norwich though. Seems like that injury he had has really set back his development. Think we paid a fair chunk for him too.
Surprised Jota's is taking so long with the injury being described as a 'rib injury' not broken ribs.
Rib injury is when I'm a little overzealous at Harvester
I got elbowed in the ribs playing 7 a side a few months back. It did bruise up and went black in the area. Was in a lot of discomfort. It did take me 2 weeks to recover from it and play again.
