Early days….

The balance in midfield is off. Partly due to our pressing tactics. Partly due to our shortcomings in the transfer market.

The attack is not too dissimilar to Klopp but the defence has improved so far.

Slot has improved the forwards too. Look at Salah. Where has that right foot cross come from all of a sudden?

The strength work they did in summer. Mo is holding the ball up like the his Drogba.

Diaz and Gakpo been really good too and better than last season.

I'd say Slot has gone back to playing Salah the best way in terms of getting the ball to him early and closer to goal.

He's not stuck on the wing in isolation anymore or being tasked with being our chief creator from that side...which always baffled me when we chose that tactic in games.

Our wide players are not providing width to compensate for the box midfield anymore which is a good thing.

Diaz & Salah's numbers this season will instantly improve because of that small change

He's also getting a tune out of Gakpo and Gravenberch that Klopp couldn't.

Agree with this. Also, Jones is coming into his own now. We've also seen improvement from Tsimikas IMO.

It's a ridiculous question but I'll answer anyhow. We don't know if the more pragmatic approach is an improvement as that will be judged on trophies. However certainly nothing I've seen so far comes close to the free flowing high energy style that some of Klopp's teams had. We also have to remember that Klopp built the whole team, whilst Slot is using the team Klopp built.

It's ridiculous in the sense that it's far too early to answer but more importantly Klopp had exciting teams who backed it up with trophies so until Slot has several years, if he can last, we can't answer.

Irish loves a bit of Arsenal turmoil, he's just like me.

But yeah the conspiracy theorists were at it again last night. I really hope this rut them and City are in can continue for a bit longer at least.

In fairness exciting football doesn't necessarily correlate with tactical prowess. Klopp was outplayed tactically a few times in the last couple of seasons.
