So our right and left backs have no backups (Bradley and Tsimikas) cos the utility man Gomez will now play in his preferred CB position. Now we are about to hit the congested period.

Getting rubbish luck with injuries at the worst possible time. Even if we continue to get good results in the next month, the players are likely going to burn out because we can’t rotate now.

I’m usually confident at anfield no matter who we play but I’m not feeling it today for some reason. I’ve been confident about us when City was absolutely flying and now they’re struggling my confidence has gone! I think it’s because this is effectively last chance saloon for them. Fecking hope we can get the 3 points. Would be a hammer blow to arsenals resurgence as well.

I’ll take a nervous point today

They’re still a top side, just on a poor run of form the last 4-5 weeks.

They only have a few injuries so they are more than capable.

I’m my usual pessimistic self and would be happy with a draw as always against City. Having 3 mancs in the refereeing team doesn’t fill me with confidence.

happened last season, we dealt with the injuries so well, esp kids in the cups. But by time the players came back they were'nt match fit and struggled and the ones who played every minute burnt out.

Manc ref in the Arsenal game giving soft af pens too, clear what PGMOL want. Up to us to take the option away from them.

Have to come out and pile the pressure on them from the start, and early goal or two. Im never convinced we'll start well though, its rare. And when we do its often being wasteful and not making the most of it, like vs Real.

Its prob the best game City could have asked for atm, itll give them motivation they need i reckon. They wont be anywhere near as bad today as they have been recently is my guess.

This too however a point wouldn’t be the end of the world.

I’d be very confident if Ibou was fit but now a bit less so.

Also the fact that PGMOL have deployed their full team of Avengers today makes me nervous.

Still hopeful we get the win though.

Anything less than a win will be a poor result. City are really struggling in midfield with injuries. They have nobody who can keep control of the ball, which goes against their whole game. They're also in awful form.

Bunch of Pagans are afraid of being confident of a win because you think it’ll jinx us. There’s nothing wrong with being confident, we’ve put ourselves in a position where we should be. Sure, City could turn it around at anytime and if it’s today then so be it.
