Early on Van Dijk followed him into midfield and sent him flying, and late-on we had three players press him in midfield and had a good chance from it.

Anyone else worried about or defensive situation?

We've basically got 5 defenders fit over the busiest time of the year. Gomez and Robbo pick up muscle injuries aswell as Trent not being 100% yet.

Just got to hope and pray we get through this unscathed but at least we’ve got a bit of breathing room with our points lead.

6 of our 20 games under Slot have been won by a score of 2-0. City, Madrid, Villa, Bologna, Brentford, Ipswich.

2-0 very much seems to be the Slot scoreline and I think that sums up his start at Anfield. So much control (even if I'm a little edgy when we cede possession), and ruthless finishing when we need it.

Newcastle and Everton will be interesting challenges. I think we will see a little bit of rotation, maybe Endo, Chiesa, Elliot to get some game time.

It's why we need another in central defence, so many injury prone players in our back line. It's why we must keep VVD.

I'm not so sure, OT will put up a very good atmosphere I think Wednesday. I'd love a United win but think it'll be a draw.

Definitely not the foregone conclusion it was pre-Amorim though.

Everton were the better team until the deflected lucky og and gifts came

It's at the Emirates sadly, but I am glad we've already got the OT game out the way as I do think they'll have a decent honeymoon run until the end of the season.

A lot qere debating between VVD and Salah for MOTM but I thought Gravenberch was outstanding. I'm still in shock at what he is doing in the position. I'd have laughed in your face if somebody had told me he was going to perform at this level in the 6 role.

I mentioned same thing yesterday. He's become like VVD where scoring a minimum 8/10 every game is just the norm. The way he was zig zagging through the City team was amazing. He's also now added the tactical foul to his game which makes him the complete deep midfielder.

I see that the narrative has switched from not playing anyone to "we are playing teams at the right time"
